If Sam wood and Faz are back- why aren’t they playing on Thursday? The academy are in the play offs for the first time ever- but will be missing many of their most experienced players, pinder, L senior and wardle (again) I understand are injured. Russell, Hewitt, Kirby and I. senior in the squad for Thursday. So No experienced half to play for the academy on Saturday. I’m sure the lads would rather play for first team- but it’s unfair on the rest and on robbo that they are prevented playing their best available squad due to what is basically a dead rubber. Robbo must be feeling pretty miffed!

Woolford doesn’t rate faz or wood so that’s why they aren’t playing and Wardle, innes and Russell will all be playing Saturday too

Talk on the RHP show last night from Eorl and Woolford that we are after a marquee signing for next year! Presumably a half back, I wonder if Hastings could yet materialise?

Seems to contradict himself quite often Woolford. One minute weve got no cap space, next minute were after a Marquee and another player.

Im half expecting the Uate deal to fall through as it seems to be taking the . I dont think its a position we need to spend a lot on cap space on so I wouldnt be too fussed if we did miss out on him.

We have Darnell, Jerry and Seniors for the wing and have Cudjoe, Wardle, Turner and Gaskell who can play at centre.

We need some more size in the forwards for me....a Pauli Pauli or Murdoch-Masila type of 2nd row would be good.

there is more cap space so expect a signing and thats including uate.

I thought the youngsters weren’t allowed to back up games like that. Even if they are, is three fatigued players any better than three inexperienced ones.

Can play full back well too. Very good player

Rossy has been playing more centre and fullback than wing recently. In lower grades he was always a fullback, and was a match winner as a fullback.
I suspect Woolford wants him as much for his attitude and work ethic as his playing skills.
He was a park footballer who got a chance in his mid 20s to train with an NRL side, and he quit a 100k a year job to live on 20k and train his guts out till he made it. He still spends his off season paying for sprint training and works harder than any other player in the NRL. Brad Fittler had him in a city rep side and couldn't believe that he got up at 5am and went for a solo run before the squad did a six hour session.
