Things were going our way though, we had a comfortable lead till the last 4 minutes - we had had issues with the Refereeing long before we were ever in danger of not winning the game, like i've said previously we would have won the game still if the last kick hadn't have gone over and it still wouldn't have changed our opinions on what we saw as a terrible performance from the Ref - the Scoreline in the end looks like it's sour grapes but we were on his back when we were 18-0 too not just cos of the end result.

league express said penalty count was 11-5 to rovers, but penalties don't always tell the story, it was the decisions he gave and didnt give which was frustrating.
like i said previously,that game was refereed differently for the 2 sides.

Just watched the game back.
The ref really! I have little time for any of them. They are a blight on the sport. But he wasn't responsible for Brough kicking the ball dead 5 times. Grix running behind Ferres. Cudjoe getting wound up by Costigan and ramming with his head. 3 of your players taking each other out.
He didn't favour us in any way.
You were shocking 2nd half particularly your last play options.
Your forwards couldn't get on top of ours and got wound up and didn't concentrate on their job. Lost their discipline.
The Walker bros were great for us as was Costigan who battered your pack when defending.
I like your team.
Hope Brough stays fit and you'll go fine for top 4 again.

Season before maybe

After watching the full 80 minutes back on Roverstv I'm struggling to get where your fans are coming from. I watched intently at the referee's performance trying and I'm confused. The way you lot have gone on I felt it would be easy to see the sub par bentham performance yet I failed to spot this so called one sided performance you relate to.

I also listened yesterday to Anderson saying at times Huddersfield embarrassed Hull KR in the 1st half, Now I failed to spot that either. What I did see was a performance in the 1st half that wasn't up to scratch by any stretch of the imagination. We dropped off tackles and made so many one on one mistakes and dropped so much ball we wouldn't have troubled London So with that in mind surely we embarrassed ourselves, It wasn't down to Huddersfield it was down to our own performance. Which we rectified in the second half.
We had the physical edge and if we continue to play in that manner for the rest of the season then we'll win alot more then we'll lose.

I even think we could have won the game as the last try for me should have been also been awarded a penalty. Caro had already scored and the Huddersfield chasers stopped when Mcgilvary came and slid into Caro for no apparent reason at all.

another mistake on the day by bentham.

brough had an off game, his kicking game was very poor... we had little territory at all with his balls going dead half the time, all started from the first kick of the game going into touch!

plenty of fans and pundits commented how last season we failed to put games to bed and really punish teams once we were ahead, take the castleford game for example at home.

hope it doesnt repeat itself again this season, like sunday at 24-6 the game should really of been put to bed.

just a slight observation from last year, which was a great season.

seeing the replay of the brawl.. wardle gets punched twice in the face then retaliates... so how can his charge be more serious? if it is the brawl where wardle has been cited for

as for chan, i still think they got the wrong man when sending him to the bin

That was Bentham helping the Giants. He knew it was Chans first game back and felt that he would benefit from a rest

Really the refs stood behind him when he throws two uppercuts into the Rovers pack.



Think the only people that got it wrong where the RFL disciplinary not charging him for it as their footage was from the other angle so was missed.

All I see there is a guy with his arms down - if that's your evidence you need to try a lot harder.

What would you like to see a holographic image coming from a still picture. I took it off a video and straight after that still image the hand is smashed up twice.

Wouldn't it be better to show the fist in the face rather than an arm down by the side in an innocent manner. Lol. Hope your not a police officer or a lawyer!
Poor effort

Equally I could say- straight after that picture was taken burns smashed his elbow 6 times into someone's face, walker head butted three players and Eden dropped his pants.

I would expect not to be able to see another players shorts through his arm, unless he is a ghost. That pic speaks volumes for the credibility of the poster.

There was a fight, it has been dealt with, Rovers are much happier with the way the game panned out than the Giants, our next game is Widnes on Friday, time to move on.

After watching the fight on sky Poore was the lead instigator and deserves his ban, the way his fists went he should count himself lucky he's not got more games.

As for the game, we drew and threw away a good lead. We'll play that poor again in the 2nd half and on another day come away with the 2 points. It's only the second game of the season and if Anderson continues to do what he's been doing then he will learn a great deal from that second half showing and sort it out. He's one of the best coaches in SL who has the experience of playing in big games and a trophy cabinet from his playing days to match most in the coaching game over here.
We threw away a point on Sunday but will be better physically and mentally for it as the season goes on.
