Watched your game in the pub with my wire mate.
We both thought the ref was influenced by what had happened at half time and everything went wigan's way in the second half.

The team warning was a joke as was the charge down decision.

Some pens were given by the crowd and I didn't think you merited the penalty count against you.

The complete irony is that Wigan who are famous for slowing the ruck speed down were complaining about it. You couldn't make it up.

Why was we on a team warning anyway? sure it was only 2 pens on the bounce seen much more pens without a team warning before!

We desperately need 2 refs on the pitch and to get the game reffed in the same manner as they do in Oz. If we did wigan would be bottom 4 as they have nothing to offer than strangling the opposition by pushing every rule beyond where it should be. Their whole ethos is to cheat to win every game. grubby coach with grubby players

I can't for the life of me understand why so much is being made of this. The captain is allowed to talk to the referee and this was done completely by the book. Would you rather have it like is usually is with players such as Brough, Wilkin, McGuire or Sam Tomkins shouting at the referee when things aren't going their way like football players, or do things the proper way whereby the captain calmly goes and asks the referee a question which he is entitled to do so as captain (one of the points/perks of being a captain is the link between the referee and the teams players).

There is nothing sly, nothing "cheating" about what went on tonight, I am absolutely certain that captains ask questions of the referee each and every week, and rightly so. There was nothing said according to Sky about Wigan asking to be awarded more penalties, the question was of ruck speed. One of the sin bins was for a professional foul, and a few of the penalties were for high tackles/ball steals, so the ref was influenced so much as to give a couple of pens for lying on?

I do agree it was incorrect call about the charge down and Wigan scrum, but let's not forget, Hudds nearly scored the winning try from a set where Gelling CLEARLY took the Huddersfield man into touch which wasn't spotted.

Look I'm not saying the penalties weren't right but Wigan were scragging and holding down too. Crikey one Wigan player walked three yards off the mark that should be a penalty but Cobb took the easy don't infuriate the Wigan fans route by sending him back to play it in a half of 9 penalties and two sin binings that's not consistent.

It was six penalties in about fifteen minutes.


How do you know.
The majority of penalties conceded by Huddersfield in the second half were NOT for slowing the play the ball down, but for stupid high tackles. As for the charge down, by the rules it was the correct decision as the Huddersfield player advanced towards the ball,as explained by Terry O'Connor. Personally I think it's a stupid rule that needs changing.
