Last week - Moan "there's no atmosphere" moan "no one joins in the songs" moan "why can't we be like Leeds"
This week - moan the band is the wrong atmosphere" moan "they play the wrong songs" moan "we are like leeds"
At least it will drown out the childish drivel and foul language for those on that side of the stadium. And at least it means those of us in the other side can actually hear something from the Kilner bank instead of the usual silence heard.
It was the only sign of an atmosphere in the whole stadium ---- apart from the away end....'"
Apart from sounding terrible the band did not create an atmosphere at all ,what next Les Dawson playing his piano off key.
Personally i can,t stand bands at games and judging by the reaction of people around me neither could they

| Great idea. Several times they got the crowd singing when doom and gloom had set it.
Agreed with the point about them the choices - maybe a bit of research into what songs we sing. I was expecting 'Marching On Together'

| Miserable ers the lot of you.
I sometimes think most of the moaners on here are only interested in one thing their own personal experience of the game and then coming on here and moaning about anything.
Anything to try something different by the club is knocked down," I don't like it, it's too noisy, I don't like the songs".
Try to think about things outside of your own body space.
One of the real issues at The ground is the lack of atmosphere..
Most of those criticising the band's only contribution to the atmosphere is,
Come and join us at the back of the stand where the singers are".
I am not a great lover of bands but for a few minutes each half to liven things up it is no bad thing.
It is like BIg G. if it was non stop druim it would be tedious. Every now and then it helps.

| I liked the band! Seven nation army in the build up to kick off worked well a lot of sgocked faces as no one expected it!
On a day when we offered nothing in attack it is easy to see why our fans were not in the mood to sing or chant so the effectiveness of the band was always going to be up against it!
Something different for us and will work to get us a better atmosphere especially if people decide to stop moaning and join in!
Players want us to back them be vocal and show our support in the stands but any idea of something to boost our vocality and it's put down!

No way were there that many, that stand holds 4000, there were about 200 empty seats along with both ends cordoned off, my estimate 2800/2900, still a very good turn out by Hull though.
By the way, no problem with the band, as said they just need to learn the songs that Huddersfield sing out to thats all, i was sat right in the middle as usual and i never heard any disparaging comments from anyone.

| I quite liked the band idea. Unfortunately our chants, like the team never really got going.

| Bit of a mixed response, as expected really
like i have said you cant knock the club for trying, not the best game to get the atmosphere going with what was dished up on the field
the band i think do need to follow what the fans are chanting though which could come in time
think it will be quite good on a friday night on sky with everyone getting involved!
lets face it the atmosphere before this band was rubbish so cant be much worse, give it a chance... the usual singers seem to have their noses put out just because it wasnt their idea and been overshadowed by the band.

dont believe all you see on social media
2500 is a more true figure of the hull fc, which was very good.
sure someone on here will have the exact figure in the away end.

| My issue with bands, and because at my football team we have had years of it, Is the band playing stuff completely different to what the fans are singing therefore drowning out the singing. They could be ok by just keepin the Rhythym/beat to a song going but it's the idea of them just playing random tunes at random times that annoys me. It could work if the band and fans work together but if it's a case of the band just playing for their own pleasure then it will only cause friction to those in that area. Maybe if they are to be a fixture they could move round the stands though rather than in the same place.

| DG, as I said I have no problem if they just help get the crowd going or if they join in with a song but they just played random tunes when the game was up and the crowd disheartened.. Playing the tune to Leeds' southstanders song is not going to get giants fans singing along when we are 19-0 down!
If they have to stay then a bit of research into what the fans sing and when would be a good start.. The only one they got about right was the seven nation army one..just belting out random tunes won't help
I don't call it moaning I call it people offering their thoughts and opinions which is what the OP asked for

| When I first heard them I did think oh dear, but because they are not too close and not playing too often, it wasn't bad at all. Maybe they will be more effective if the players on the pitch try to entertain.

| I agree with what a lot of people are saying. The band need to be more cohesive with the singers, however that will only work if they are accepted. Also I think it is completely unfair to call-out/victimise the singers at the back of the stand. Everyone up there tries there absolute hardest to sing songs which are accessible to everyone and it isn't their fault that no one joins in! The only way these fan ideas will move forward is if the fanbase unites, too many of us argue (not discuss) ideas and it won't get us anywhere. It would be nice if for once we could get everyone pulling in the same direction towards one goal, which should be making this club successful and attractive to Huddersfield people.
