It's not harder - Anderson has had his sights on winning our last two - that's what hes said we need to do to finish top four- it's irrelevant what others do.

Both grand finalists qualify and the next highest placed team. So if the final is 1v2 then 3rd place in the table qualify. If 1st aren't in the grand final then they get the third place. Pretty sure it's impossible to qualify if you finish outside the top 3 however nothing guarenteed unless you top the pile

If you win it from 4th - 8th it won't be impossible!

Highest Leeds can finish is fourth dependant on PD- last week they were being tipped for the LLS.

If you talk about momentum Leeds certainly don't have it at the moment having lost their last 4 SL games. Having said that I wouldn't read anything into that as they know how to peak at the right time - but they're leaving it mighty late this year.

We can theoretically still finish 2nd but it would need most results to go for us including a Wigan v Wire draw. If us and Cas win up we'll finish either 3rd or 4th depending on the Wigan v Wire result. Whoever wins that finishes 3rd - loser finishes 5th. If it's a draw Wigan 4th, Wire 5th us 3rd. All in all if we win up we can't finish lower than 4th.

Leeds might have to win it from 6th this year.

I don't buy this momentum malarkey. Leeds haven't left it later than any other year- remember us beating them easily with 12 men at the end of the season before they went on to win it- and Wigan lost 7 of their last 9 prior to winning the GF last year!!!

Me either, it's how each team plays on that particular day in that game, don't buy all these 'theories' and 'plans'..play better on the day you win...do it 3 or 4 times and you're the champions !!

Know many who take the candy outta footie --but I can just see Man City /Arsenal / Chelsea etc finishing top (even on goal diff) and then being told 1-8 have to play off to sort it

No it isn't true. Play offs have decided 3/4 of the Championships in RL history. All our titles have come through play offs. 42% of our titles have come after we finished 2nd, 3rd or 4th in the table. Hell in 1973 Dewsbury finished 8th in the league and won the Championship. 28 teams prior to 1974 won the Championship after finishing lower than 1st in the regular season table. Perhaps people need to go out and tell these clubs they've been living a lie for all these years.

People may not like them but play offs have been an integral part of Rugby League since 1905, it was only in the 70's they switched to a first past the post system. Nothing to do with Australia, nothing to do with SKY.

teams do try and peak at the end of the season, we havent got it right yet! though we seem to be getting things together at the right time
