| A crowd of over 5000??? Even including season ticket holders that must be optimistic. Looked like 3000 a tops.
A good turnout by us, though.
The reception given to the players at the end of the game was one of the best I've ever seen. The look on the players faces showed how much they appreciated it.
Well done to one and all [apart from the 4 behind us, talk about moaning and blinkered vision!!!]

| Must admit i was a bit worried when the team was announced but i thought Grix and Tommy more than made up for Danny's absence - Grix actually looked like a decent creative player last night, maybe because he wasn't having to play in Danny's shadows, and Tommy was solid without being superb and between them kept the team ticking over well.

| grix did well put some neat kicks in and i suppose you can beat whats infront of ya and he did that.
mason well id let him go now he must be averaging 4/5 pens a game along with his mistakes
tommy lee sign him onto a new contract now he has been a good signing for us always looked sharp at both hooker and half back
joe wardle brilliant return after being out so long
overall scrappy game thought our forwards dominated, thaler got abit to whistle happy in the second half but we responded well to nick it at the end and without brough not a bad night at the office

| Mason doesn't give any more penalties away than any other player
Nor does he knock on more than any other
What he does do is add some real bite and mongrel in the middle that we missed when he wasn't playing. Last few games he has run hard and tackled hard and what more do people want from a prop?
We could have the entire Queensland SOO team in claret and gold and some people would still say they were no good!

| Mason can knock on at inopportune moments so it stands out more IMO.

| He did give away some vital possession last night- but his overall performance has improved in last two games.

| not been grixys biggest fan of late but thought he was superb last night got give the lad credit when he plays well, him and tommy lee handled the key roles very well i thought, as for mason i thought he gives what we need a bit of grunt and agression when hes fired up we look a lot better side, yes he makes errors but makes up with his agression for me.
Heard last night that lee wants a contract but thewlis haggling over money, tommy only wants 30k and 1 year contract hes happy to accept, sign him up i say, most games hes played this year he has performed well i think.

| I agree goodie- tommy has been a solid performer when he has played, hed be a great cover player to have next season. Thewlis is well known for his hard line on contracts- but at least we aren't a club that breaks the cap!

cuts though the defences with ease at times, shame he cant do it more often
deserves a contract if he keeps it up in the run in to the seasons end

| Lee has earned a new contract in the games he has been involved in, adds a spark and something different.
Get him signed up, get Lunty back and let Moore go and jobs a good un

We just need Luke O'Donnell back and playing, he runs hard, tackles very hard and adds that air of malice and spite that we are missing !!! Fa'alago seems to play better and harder when LOD is about, as witnessed when they battered Jamie Peacock at Headingly !!
He is the one player in our team that would stop Westwood in his tracks when fit and up to speed.
Based on things staying as they are we will have to beat Hull, Saints and probably Wigan to get to the Grand Final at least two away from home and in my humble opinion we would need to field
Eden, McGilliveray, Cudjoe, Wardle, Murphy or George, Grix, Brough, Crabtree, Robbo, Mason, Ferres, Chan, LOD Bench Faiumu, Patrick, Fa'alago Lawrence
That side would beat Hull and give the others a run for their money assuming we ramp the aggression up several notches
