| Really enjoyed the first half. Both defences were excellent, but with little offered in attack. I said to my mate at half time that I thought that you had the majority of field position due to were the mistakes seemed to be made (ours in our half, yours in our half).
2nd half you could see that we were out on our feet and it felt like it was a matter of time. Our lack of threat in attack was hugely down to your excellent defence. We've had plenty of joy out wide this year with the likes of Yeaman, Manu, Turner and Tickle. Every time we seemed to have a glimmer, you slid across and got in our faces.
The best team won, no doubt, as you could see that you were finsihing stronger going into the last quarter. I was really pleased with our effort and committment. We are a work in progress and the signs are encouraging. Huddersfield were methodical, organised and aggressive. It was clear why you are doing so well this year.
Good luck for the rest of season and I hope that we get to meet in semi's and finals over the next few years.

| George, Faiumu and Fairbank injured, O'Donnell & ferguson on rehab and advised to only play once over Easter. Gilmour and Lunt "rested". I don't think we spend significantly more on the cap than Hull, so its choice rather than Luxury to have a deep squad, only 4 overseas helps in that.

| i personally didnt think the score flattered us ,i thought it flattered hull to be honest, as an attacking force hull were non - existant 3 and 4 drives and a kick seemed to be their game plan very boring imo, to me we only allowed them to stay in the game through our handling in the first half, 2nd half we went more conservative and ground it out. do think hull look a better side defensively than lately but offensively very poor, thought for us chan, crabtree and brown were great 2nd half, for hull only houghton offered any threat, good crowd today more atmosphere and good away support.

| Agree with goodie, i dont think the score flattered us at all, we made numerous breaks and chances, the fact that we put them down or took the wrong option saved hull from being walloped,in fairness both defences were very good.
How grix got MOM i'll never know but fair play to him for not letting his head drop.
Thought all the backs put a good shift in as did brough and robbo but chan and eorl were outstanding.

I think the lack of attacking play was tactical, we attempted to kick early in our sets and pin Huddersfield in their own 20 and keep things as simple as possible. That combined with our two usual attacking options Manu and Tickle being absolutely knackered and not at their best meant we offered little attacking threat.

Doesn't matter does it. the fact is they weren't playing therefore other players played instead, players who would normally be 2nd choice to the guys who weren't playing .....yes you were weakened but if you think you have just been beaten by our strongest possible line up you are way off the mark !!

Gonna be interesting when they meet Mr O'Donnell next Sunday !!!!! Lynch Tickle and Radford running at Robinson all match Manu at Brough. Mindst Fa'alago sickened them with some brutal tackles in the last 20 and LOD's are more often worse !!!!!

| I cannot understand people missing out Robbos contribution.
His tackling was immense i look forward to seeing his stats tomorrow.
He even knocked out two Hull players.
If you could put his heart into a bigger body how good would he be.

i agree with durham. robbo had to come on when lee got injured and play the full match. had to make many tackles as he was a target all game and still had the energy in attack brilliant peformance.
our defence is the best in superleague and had won us alot of games this season when our attack has not been able to get going
thought hull put in a good effort. their defence is very good, thought they missed richard horne in attack.
shall be a good game next week deffo need to play alot better than 2day

Travis is right. Giants concede an average of 15.45 pts per game while Hull concede 16.2 points per game.

| Great defensive performance which built the platform for the eventual win, but by eck it was hard work getting there. Knock-on-a-thon doesn't quite come close.
Sensible husbandry of squad resources by Brown, and a subtle tactical switch which blunted Hull's attempts to play a territorial, percentage game - an understandable plan given the tough game they had on Friday. Seymour was kicking deep and early to the flanks. Dropping Murphy back to a second full-back on the opposite side to Eden nullified that and forced Hull down the middle where they got no change from a terrific pack of forwards.
Michael Lawrence was absolutely outstanding. Not seen the stats, but if he missed a tackle I'll be very surprised.

Just for clarity are you in someway upset that our middle unit ran the ball in down the middle where Robinson was defending? Much like Crabtree running at Houghton in fact.

Agree. He has only played a few games in the back row. He has a brilliant attitude and I can only see him getting better.

| not that confident about the cup game to be honest, unless we get a few troops back, and only moa is looking like returning and this only if he gets back to the uk in next couple of days. martin may be back as well, no chance for the other injured players. add to this aspinwall and sharp who look doubtful and we may be dipping further into our 20's team, reece lynn or tom lineham may have to step up. any giants injuries from yesterday?

Tommy Lee went off injured, not sure whats happening there.....shouldn't be a problem though as we've got O'Donnell, Lunt, Faiumu, Ferguson, Fairbank, George to come back in if needed on Sunday.
