| The one he missed I presume you mean the Wilkin try. It was a misunderstanding but was just as muc Robinsons fault. Which one was the try from his missed tacke? As for not backing himself. If he had gone on the outside he would have been tackled into touch.

| Quote 40 year old giant="40 year old giant"Anderson talks the talk then picks the same team .koppy and earl shouldn't start in fact the pack should be sent to Blackpool with the rest of the donkeys . we have our captain who spends more time sulking or refing than playing robbo well passed his sell by date if we cant beet a team if 9 men missing what chance have we got again no infusseasam no composer and no brains time for a clear out'"
Time for a clear out?
How does this work half way through a season. Tell me who you would get rid of and who they would be replaced with?

| At the risk of repeating myself we need to make some changes.
Danny Brough is a great player but a captain he ain't. He does not react well to adversity. He complains to the ref and Eorl has now started following suit.
We are slow starters. Why? Because (IMO) we know we are a decent side but aren't clever enough to realize we have to WORK HARD to win regardless of our ability. We are consistently out-enthused early doors to both halves and then play catch up.
PA should be seeing this. It has gone on long enough now. We have fallen in love with ourselves and our lack of leadership is stopping us from learning these lessons.
Short term I would put Bailey in at 13 and give him the armband. Let him talk to the ref and guide the team on the park. For games whee we need a big pack put him to 6 and DB to 7. We need someone to lead us.
Further to that, we need the coach and the players to have an epiphany. There is no use turning up at 20% and then switching on when we are three scores down. If we turn up like we did tonight, which we have turned up like so often this year, all it says to me is that we aren't playing for the coach.
They are better than this. I'd rather watch a team with less talent try hard, like 4-5 years ago. At least I could say we tried our best. Grix tonight didn't even try to get out of the in-goal area. He didn't even try. the game had gone but that isn't the point. He had no pride to even try and he's not alone.
This can't go on.

| A very frustrating game that was. Awful conditions and a pathetic refereeing performance for both teams.
Result doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but I think the performance needs to improve dramatically because we are playing boring rugby. We are lacking fight and enthusiasm.
Thought Blackmore was very good!
Koppy was very good today.
Kicking game was rubbish! The tactics seemed good until Saints scored.
Crabtree looks like he needs a rest...
Robbo wasn't really used.
Have I missed something with Baily and Lawrence having time off playing?
Brough has to start setting an example and using his captaincy because there's times we look abit lost.
We all know we are better than this so I'm hoping it was just one of them days.

Swap some of the names and you could be a Saints poster. I'm not here stirring, but I read that and thought, that's what we were all saying last week. Hence why Mose came out tonight with a bit of the mongrel about him.
I'm starting to wonder if this is the fault that runs through SL, apart from one or 2 teams (Leeds Wigan this year), every year there are half decent sides out there but they have a culture of coasting. Last year Huddersfield proved to be contenders and from what you have posted feel that the job is half done.
Saints too have weeks were we are great then a period of being the big time charlies. No one putting a hand up to do the dirty work
I know injuries play their part, but as SL fans, that intensity does not seem to stay consistently high unless you are the top top team.

Unfortunately I did give us a tip next time Paul and I'll stay at home too and save my £50 for something I might enjoy and get some value for my money !!!

| Thought Brough, Robinson and Lunt your pivotal players were below par last night.
Silverwood was very poor for both teams last night and never felt an 18 point lead was enough until the last 15 mins.
Wigan next game up hope your team respond to the next challenge.

| The match was lost in the first 12 minutes - 18 points down.
Kopczak, Robinson and Lunt all gifted tries with pathetic defence in that period.
Someone said Koppy did well - I find that astonishing, he can be a very good prop, but he looks way off the pace. I would recall Kaufusi and give
Koppy a good rest.
Robbo is another that needs a rest', again he can be a very good player but is currently awful. As well as being directly responsible for 2 Saints tries his passing last night was consistently behind the man.
Just checked stats on SL website - pathetic. Koppy 7 carries for 46, given the minutes he played that is just lazy.
As a pack we only made Masoe make 12 tackles, that confirms my feeling that we didn't even try to dominate a Saints pack weakened by injuries.
Only Blackmore has decent stats.

| Lawrence should be one of the 1st names on the team sheet imo. Yes he doesnt offer much attack but his defence is much needed in the team at the moment. Bailey needs to be in there somewhere too.
koppy , eorl , robbo , chan , leroy all look like they need a good rest.
I think we look better with wood and brough @ 6/7
We deffo miss that enforcer we had , LOD then fielden our props are far too nice and dont run there weight , only one who runs hard on a consistent basis is LP .
IMO we require another 2 props for some grunt up field. The lack of forward power is reflecting in broughy game, hes not getting the time and space any more to dictate the game which leads to throwing his toys at the pram .
We deffo lack a plan b , our pivot players are seriously under performing however there not been given much of a chance!!!

| Bailey looks good! Breaks the line a fair bit and looking to offload! Also seems to be a mild mannered bloke who would be suited to be a captain!
Kafusi and Jonson! Look to offer a lot kafusi running hard being very physical! Jonson running hard similar to Patrick! In for eorl and koppy! Both look tired and need to know pressure is on for not performing
Wingers are sound all four can come in offer something a little different but all good!
Centres joe is bloody ace! Great lad does everything asked of him and more Leroy a little hit and miss but worth having him just needs to release the winger a bit more
Halves brough is still one of the best out there but needs to have a winning pack infront of him and control his emotions! Robbo hard one really do we put him at hooker with wood in the halves or stick with them?
I would try
1. Grix
2. Jerry / Blackmore
3. Leroy
4. Joe
5. Broughton/ Murphy
6. Brough
7. Bailey
8. Patrick
9. Lunt
10. Ferres
11. Kafusi
12. Mulally
13. Bruno
14. Eorl
15. Taai
16. Robbo
17. Johnson

| I actually thought Eorl did very well last night. Amazing how different people see things.
I'm going to write to the RFL and ask them when the rule for a try changed from 'downward pressure' to 'simply having some contact with the ball', though I suppose it says in the rules 'at least sideways pressure'.
And shouldn't we have had a penalty when they scored under the posts in the 2nd half? I mean, didn't their 14th man obstruct one of our defenders?
The games this season where we've been heavily down in the forst quarter all have one thing in common. Bruno - or rather a lack of Bruno. Without him the middle is wide open. It shouldn't be but it is.
And competition for places? The only time we seem to see it iswith the wingers - oh, and Bruno. It's all very well saying that youngsters have to be blooded, but both Wigan and Saints have had to throw their 'kids' into games because of injuries. Perhaps if we'd had a few more injuries and youngsters coming in fighting for their SL careers, well... [Not wanting players to be injured, perhaps 'playing badly' could be used as an excuse for not playing a 'star'?
