| Some seriously odd calls indeed did go in our favour but baffling and inconsistent decisions are par for the course in every game these days and hardly worthy of a mention.
I know you guys have been going through the horrors lately but I was still a little surprised by just how poor you were. Saints were no great shakes by any means but we could have easily put 70+ on you if we'd just played with [isome[/i intensity after the game was wrapped up on 30 minutes. Brough's kicking (depressingly a class apart from what we have available in that department right now) and Saints howlers apart you hardly threatened a largely sleepwalking Saints team at all which was terribly disappointing. It might be a long old rest of the season...
And as for Gilmour... if that's the way he's been playing for the rest of the season then perhaps retirement might be an idea.

| Quote: Mable_Syrup "Mason scored a try but cost the Giants at least 3 with errors or penalties in the previous set. I wouldn't say he had a great game at all.'"
At least 2 of the pens that Mason conceded were very harsh calls indeed. Ref was poor imo but in no way was he responsible for the loss.

| I honestly thought at 28-6 we were gonna be on the wrong end of a proper 60/70 point hammering, but i think credit has to go to some extent to us for tightening up and playing with a bit more belief, we kept saints scoreless for around 25 mins which i thought was more down to us improving rather than saints switching off

Bob on, but the problem is, Scott Moore is no where near the quality of player that can be so demanding an get away with it. There's little to no chance of him linking up with Brown again in the near future, so he needs to pull his finger out before his career goes even further down the swanny.

| Quote: wigsey "All the playing in the wrong positions earlier in the season is till coming in to roost.
No confidence.
mason and Moore still giving away penalties every game.
Positives for me Lawrence much better in the backs. Chan very good. Grix better.
negatives the two ms above and the over paid uninterested Faalongo.
The rest Brough and Eorl aside average at best'"
yep....players all out of position...headless chickens... too many injuries to vital players...till this is remedied then its going to be the same story
plus the defence...what defence more like! we can defend penalties.... penalty against us and you can almost guarentee a try

| Mason was utter tripe, I'd send him to LA to concentrate on his tan and his Rourke Effect for the rest of the year as the lad obviously has other things on his mind.
Grix wants shooting in his defence, attack wise, decent but defence is woeful
on same subject, a lot of the squad are going top half with tackles, this works for the "wrestle" but only if a player is there to wrap up the tackle at the lower half. There also needs to be commitment in the tackle, not flailing arms/half hearted atempts. The ball needs to be wrapped up
Gilmour should go Castleford now.
Moore is far better than Lee (needs a full pre-season behind him)

I seem to remember that it was Griffin that wanted to leave, and Raleigh as good a season he maybe having boat the moment couldn't hold a place in the team. Certainly wouldn't put him ahead of Crabtree, Patrick or Mason. He's average at best (albeit handy to us at the mo) the one that does seem a mistake if Kirmond. May well be Wakeys PoS.

| Except when Griffon went that left us with only Raleigh as fourth prop
Now we have 3 and they are carrying knocks
You need 4 props in a squad, if not a 17
We have 2 1/2 (patrick is clearly injured)
We should never have got rid of Raleigh - or more to the point should have replaced him!
