An opinion- no matter how much you disagree with it can't be wrong.
It can be based on little, no, or downright spurious evidence - but it can't be wrong.
I think Squiffdog has a point. Yes Eorl is a valuable player but I must admit it does irritate me the amount of time he seems to take to play the ball. In many ways this negates the great work he does get through. I suspect the apparent lack of effort that gets put in after initial contact is probably more down to coaching/tactics than lack of desire on Eorl's part.
I've no complaints the way Robbie Savage is playing in 2016,sometimes Eorl gets the 'over to you big man' pass when the structure has broken down, has no momentum so is better surrendering and trying to get a quick ptb.
I await figures on how quickly he plays the ball but I do think that if he offloaded more often that would negate the perception that from the time he hits the tackle things slow down as it takes 3 or 4 players to wrestle him to the ground. If we could get a quicker ptb the ball it would speed us up.
What I will say about work and the other Home grown players they are always the ones who seem to try the hardest when the chips have been down. Lefty and Bruno look like completely different players last season to this much better consistency and performance.
