| Unfortunately,I think a lot of the things we complain about are now part of the game, and maybe we as a team need to move forward and play smarter and perhaps get some of these tricks going ourselves. I don't particularly like the idea, but if you can't beat them....
Referees have a tough gig,and see at as bias or not,but Shaun Wane did more damage to the referees credibility last night with his smug smirk when questioned than Anderson did with his responses. He has insinuated that his actions changed the running of the game...which is what PA questioned. I like Shaun Wane, great coach and usually a great watch in his post match interview due his honesty and sportsmanship, however he let himself down last night.

A little bitter are we?
I can't for the life of me understand why so much is being made of this. The captain is allowed to talk to the referee and this was done completely by the book. Would you rather have it like is usually is with players such as Brough, Wilkin, McGuire or Sam Tomkins shouting at the referee when things aren't going their way like football players, or do things the proper way whereby the captain calmly goes and asks the referee a question which he is entitled to do so as captain (one of the points/perks of being a captain is the link between the referee and the teams players).
There is nothing sly, nothing "cheating" about what went on tonight, I am absolutely certain that captains ask questions of the referee each and every week, and rightly so. There was nothing said according to Sky about Wigan asking to be awarded more penalties, the question was of ruck speed. One of the sin bins was for a professional foul, and a few of the penalties were for high tackles/ball steals, so the ref was influenced so much as to give a couple of pens for lying on?
I do agree it was incorrect call about the charge down and Wigan scrum, but let's not forget, Hudds nearly scored the winning try from a set where Gelling CLEARLY took the Huddersfield man into touch which wasn't spotted.'"
Gelling did NOT take Murphy into touch- the replay clearly showed that- it also clearly showed gelling trying to get him into touch by ragging him round his neck! So actually even if he had gone it touch should have been a penalty to us. Oh and it was a charge down his arms were up in the air to stop the ball, not outstretched to tackle the player.
Cheating? - perhaps not. influencing? - most certainly.

| We Lost get over it.
I say it every week if we are two scores better than the opposition the refs don't matter.
We could have Ben leading by 20 points if we had taken our chances in the first half.
We lost because we did not take our Chances and making too many mistakes in the first 40

Well said, just be becomes a bit self deflating this after a while. Nothing's going to be changed, lets move on. Challenge cup game is looking more and more like a seasons make or break game for both us and Leeds.

| Wigan did a great job on the referee. They questioned and he reacted in the second half. For me only 2 play the balls should have resulted in a penalty. Wigan are masters at the play the ball area , and if you notice one player on the open side seems to always get up at exactly the balls played restricting options and a slow pass.

| The Giants problem is Bully Boy Anderson. What a sour loser he is Brough was excellent post match but PA again failed to highlight deficiencies in his own players` performances by taking swipes at the Ref who of course cannot respond.
Next weeks game is huge.

Who isn't a sore loser? If your not sore about losing you don't deserve to win because you don't really want to win enough.
Perhaps pa would rather highlight any deficiencies in his players in private rather than in public....

| Your problem Jools is that you are too close to the situation. Anderson is taking you nowhere which is sad with the talent you have. Once a prop - always a prop. Durham Giant is the man on here who says it as it is rather than what you would like it to be.

| anderson didnt actually blame the loss on the ref, he just wondered why the game was reffed differently in the second half when the teams played the same way but one got 7 pens and the other 1 pen and two sin bins.
also he said the loss was also down to our own doing not being there with our completion rate
but what gets highlighted by the media is another thing and the questions are put to him about the ref

| Well he couldn't blame injuries this time could he? I mean wigan had around 7 regular first teamers missing and we had 2 (i don't count grix, because his replacement was far better), and yet they still managed to beat us.. in the last ten minutes.. again
