Quote: "A young Bulls side, including debutants Nathan Conroy and Curtis Naughton, ran riot with Jarrod Sammut claiming four tries and Keith Lulia a hat trick in his final game for the club, as the Bulls defeated the League Leaders Huddersfield Giants 58-6 at the Provident Stadium.'"
This made me laugh on the Bulls official site. Great wording.

I would think pretty much all Bradford fans would be disappointed with the season they have had particularly after a great start, the match on Saturday was just what they needed to lift morale. A good win with a bit of style, doesn't matter who it was against or who they didn't pick. So plenty to chear up the faithful at the Crater. The write up on the web site was somewhat filled with hyperbole, but so what? It's their web-site for their fans, nowt wrong with a bit of positive spin when marketing your club.
As for our team, predictable that the young props would have their hands full, but I thought Johnson, Blagborough and Mason all had momments. As for others, Connor and Miller both showed plenty potential to me, though Miller did struggle defensively (slot him in the line between Chan and Leroy and he would do much better). Kruise looks like he will make the grade if he keeps his feet on the ground while Aspinall needs a bit more development but should not be written off yet imo.
The disappointment to me were the fringe players, I was looking for Mullally to step up with the responsibility of being top prop, he didn't do that, Fairbank and George both played as poorly as I have ever seen them, Cording and Wood could not shine in the circumstances. I did think Bruno and Ta'ai were good when they were on. Amazing how Bradfords left side was shut off when Bruno and George were swapped. as fot the wingers, no chance given the carnage inside them, Blackmore has promise and Dawson seems to be Saints problem if rumours are correct.
A dissapointing score, but nothing to be despondent about, as for Bradford, why should they not enjoy the win, they can only play whomsoever we put out to face them.
Thursday, now that is another day.....'"
agree about cording and wood not shining, you would of expected a better, but they were no better than the youngsters making their debuts. Include fairbank and george in that too.
Roll on thursday!

| Bradford did beat the league leaders though? fair enough a vastly depleted league leaders side but they still represented Yorkshire's number one rugby league team.

I agree with most of this, although we were well beaten I thought the young pack never took a backward step and muscled up well at times and made some decent yards, class, power and experience told in the end, I was disappointed with our backs though who were more experienced but didn't do much right, apart from connor who I thought went ok for a young lad on debut against far more experienced and seasoned pro's.

| I'd say the first four tries the bulls scored were all George's fault - including the first one

| It would be unfair to say our youngsters destroyed you, as two of our senior players did most of the damage. However, like you, we had youngsters playing in the game too, including Naughton and Conroy, who made their first grade debuts in the match. We also had Mellor and Wood who haven't played much first team rugby this year either. The result is meaningless as it was simply a chance for you to rest your first team players.
Congratulations on winning the shield by the way. Most people thought you'd have your usual slump in the second half of the season but you've proved a lot of people wrong this year, including myself. Well done
