twas a great season and final was that,, i remember going into town after the game to that bar and we had a party..then they raffled off the players shirts and i managed to get marchies no9 shirt but ended up giving it away a year or so later to some charity event for an injured amateur player organised by john d and oldham rhino i think

great memories from that day in particular, i remember the nerves before the game,wondering if we really could go all season unbeaten only to be denied promotion in the final game,thankfully despite leigh taking it to us in the first half, our class shone through and we could celebrate a fantastic end to a fantastic season!
