The problem with our right hand side defence is fairly simple. Broughy misreads plays and gets sucked in by dummy runners, slides too late because of this and therefore an overlap is created. Cudjoe does a good job of trying to position him on our line but, as was the case at Wakefield, when Cudjoe isn't there and the game is not of great importance, Broughy's defensive decision making goes awry. Further out the whole right hand side is very static and moves up a lot less than the left hand side. We often concede easy metres like this and occasionally tries as well (as in the Warrington game). The plan seems to be to hold the line and then shoot up together at the right moment - I have no problem with this, however as the left hand side shows, you can still do this as well as moving forward from the moment the ball leaves the ruck area.
Plus, most players pass best off their right hands, therefore the best attack tends to come from going to the left - which hits our right hand side defence.

he does get it wrong sometimes.... and it seems when the writing is on the wall and we are losing there is no plan B.... like hull kr earlier in the season
