If we sell 4000 season tickets and 500 of those don't turn up and 1000 pay on the gate but our attendance is 4500 not 500 could it could be said that only 500 paid on the gate...
An attendance figure on its own can't be used for tax purposes as the figures would need to be broken down into season ticket prices, prepay ticket prices, gate prices, concessions, discounted tickets/freebies, etc.
