Friends? We’re More Like Buffaloes
Bramley Buffaloes continue their promotion of unsigned bands, through posting highlights clips on their
rlYouTube Channelrl, with backing tracks by these bands.
The latest clip, shows highlights of Bramley’s recent game against Huddersfield Underbank Rangers in the Co-operative Rugby League Conference National.
The backing track is Friends? We’re More Like a Gang, by Canterbury.
[iCanterbury formed in late 2007 and promptly set about recording tracks for a debut album (frustration at school putting the kybosh on touring necessitating some form of activity. Luckily that activity was writing and recording). The band then spent 2008 building a rabid live following on the back of shows up and down the UK with like likes of Enter Shikari, You Me At 6 and The Automatic.
A limited edition one-sided, hand-painted 7" of the track "Set You Right" was released for sale at shows in the summer of 2008. The track was also given away as a free download at the same time.
In early 2009, the track 'Friends? We're More Like A Gang' was released (also as a free download) to coincide with a co-headline / revolving bill tour with The Hot Melts and This City.
Canterbury have spent the past couple of months writing and recording more tracks for inclusion on the debut album (which will see the light of day eventually... very near completion, folks), and in late April / early May will release their first proper single 'Eleven, Twelve' on the marvellous Friends Vs. Records label.[/i
