BUFFALOES CALL OFF KNIGHTS CLASH
Bramley Buffaloes Rugby League Club regretfully announce the postponement of Friday (6th May) evening’s home match at Stanningley’s Arthur Miller Stadium against Kippax Knights.
The match, which was scheduled to be the Buffaloes’ first in this season’s Co-operative Conference National after the cancellation of last weekend’s clash at Featherstone Lions, has been called off due to the lack of players available to coach Chris Gardner.
“We have to accept that we have serious problems,” explained club chair Martyn Cheney “and we will urgently address the situation over the coming days.
“We will clearly have to look at the player availability issue early next week before deciding on our continuing involvement at this level. We will then decide our best course of action.
“It’s been a fascinating and rewarding yet demanding and challenging eleven years for the many committed volunteers and supporters involved in resurrecting the club but maybe now is the time to take stock and decide on the future course of the Bramley Rugby League identity.
“We apologise to all of our loyal supporters and everyone involved with Kippax Knights and will keep all parties informed of developments through the media and our own club communication channels,” added Martyn.
