| According to Zero Tackle, Matt Moylan is about to hang up the boots at this seasons end. That will leave with a big hole to fill at half back for next season. Could Josh Drinkwater fill that role or do we look down under again.

| Much like zero tackle are quoting the telegraph I note SARL are also quoting the same outlet about a possible move to super league for Anthony Milford
It's going to be silly season again soon about transfer speculation until we announce signings

| This might not be the worst news in the world, given Lam seems to see full back as his best position. In fact, I wonder how long this has been known within the club (if true).
If he does leave / retire, then I hope we find a replacement that is a genuine organising half back with a good kicking game, to then allow Lam Jnr to focus on doing damage on the edges.

| Been a good player for us overall but been mainly at full back which we done need next season with Armstrong coming in. Turns 34 next year and obviously been carrying an injury for the last few weeks, think this could be one that falls in our lap to be honest. Opens up a quota spot and a marquee salary off our books.
Fingers crossed we invest a chunk of money by signing up Lam and Ipape, those would be massive retentions.

100%, the best decision the club could make if Moylan does go is to use his marquee wages on throwing an absolute monster long term deal at Ipape to tie him down for 5 years and sign a lesser replacement half on Ipape's old wages

| Can only echo needing to tie down Edwin but also say that as worrying as Matt has been under the high ball, it is far outweighed by his link play, rugby brain and certain x-factor that he has brought in many games this season

By my reckoning, Moylan has only played 7 games in the halves for us. Do we need a replacement half? O'Brien and McNamara could cover that and we could use our quota spot elsewhere.

No disrespect but surely we need more quality in such a pivotal position, also Armstrong looks class but not sure he’s that extra pair of hands in attack

| Armstrong for me is more of a finisher of any half brakes we make, his speed can get him to be where he needs to be to finish. The likes of Impape from dummy half from a quick play the ball. Any space through the middle and he’s gone.

Definitely. My only fear is that the club, and probably Derek to be precise, get too easily attracted by the new shiny thing, that they fail to recognise the marquee player already in the building.
Need to find a goalkicker as well.
