| Adrian Lam is building something special at Leigh. A ragtag band of misfits, gnarly veterans, cast-offs and some shrewd scouting have come together to create a unique blend of entertaining Rugby.
Lammy in his after match interview (Magic Weekend) talked about his son Lachy, “We got him here just before the closing date of the recruitment for Leigh last year. I know he was frustrated playing at the Roosters, he was 18th man every week of the year and hadn’t played much game time so I’m glad I convinced him to come and get his love and fun back into his game.
He went on to say, “That’s the key for most players at the professional level. We brought 14 new players to the club this year and I thought all those players lost the love and fun side of rugby league whilst they’ve been away but coming to us, including him, have been rejuvenated by that edge.
“And when they are in that position of enjoying themselves, that’s when you get the best out of every player.”
John Asiata had previously talked about "losing the love for the game", and how he found it at Leigh last season.
Obviously other like Josh Charnley are enjoying their time at Leigh, after the rejection and dejection suffered at Warrington last season.
I personally am proud that Leigh is a good working environment and a happy place to be. Hopefully this will make retention so much easier for Chezzy as the Leopards build towards the back end of the season and into next season.

| I've always thought Leigh had a way of helping the "misfits" of rugby and in turn they also helped turn my opinions of certain players too.
I'm thinking of Rangi Chase, Gaz Hock (currently personal/criminal things aside) and even Ryan Bailey. I know these were all before Lam's time but I think the club itself can share some credit.
Next season it is obviously imperative we keep a good number of the current squad.

| Adrian Lam is without doubt a brilliant coach and obviously very well respected by his players. There's a reason he's the Australian assistant coach to Mal Meninga. On paper, this team isn't anything exceptional but the way Lam has welded them into a tight-knit group oozing team spirit has to be applauded. I'm expecting Lam to take this team to Wembley this season and, who knows, maybe the GF at Old Trafford. They're capable of beating anyone, and their 11 man defence was incredible against Wakefield. Defence wins games. That was Murphy's thinking in '71 and we've got another great coach with the same mindset. I thought they would be struggling in SL but I'm so pleased to be proven wrong. Well done, Adrian Lam! Brilliant coach.

| Wysiwyg, not getting the Brasso out yet (as VL would say) but Bongser's stated before that the single most important signing Leigh can make is a further extension for Adrian Lam. Players run through brick walls for him.

| Watching Adrian Lam in interviews and seeing how the players have responded to his leadership, I would move mountains to keep him here as long as possible. This season has me excited but the long term future of our team and success is very rosy if we can keep him around beyond next season. I’ve had the opportunity to watch him, Chester and Clubb at a practice session, and the way they all effortlessly interacted in their various roles with the players and each other was very impressive to see. Lam is amazing with the players, and runs a very high paced but well focused practice. It’s no wonder we are such a high paced handful on the field.

| I just hope he can persuade Lochlan to stay next season as Canberra Raiders are interested and apparently held talks. I hope this is Sorted either way soon and we hear the decision so we can find a good replacement, but I hope he stays. I would have thought Kia had made a call on next year also, but not heard a thing.

| I suggest the North stand take the time tonight, and at every game, to remind Lokkie just how loved he is at this club

| Adrian Lam is easily the best coach in SL at the moment. We are so privileged to have a coach of his stature at Leigh. Tony Smith's magic is starting to work over at Hull too. They definitely showed that the Saints' defence can be very suspect.
Got my SF ticket today, thank goodness, at a realistic price for seniors 15quid!! Can't make SL games cos of Friday night KO and pricing but at least I can see them beat Saints and then Wiggin in the final.
Leigh 24 Saints 16
Leigh 28 Wiggin 20

But only if you can stand up for the game... seniors are £22.50 (£1.50 cheaper than at Leigh) or £40 (!!) for seating for the semi.
