Although not season defining for either team it’s a massive game.
As we know from our previous attempts in SL , getting that first win was always vital and I’m sure they will see this one as such.
Reading a few Wakey fans comments they give themselves no chance but I believe they are as near as possible to full strength. Let’s hope we don’t let them get off to a good start and gain confidence and the curse of playing on plastic pitches in SL is banished

LSV's pitch is a "GrassMaster" hybrid betwixt plastic fibres and true grass. Because it is relaid in the Summer months (when we go on our 'olidays), new grass has time to come through and make it the billiard table that it is.

Led to believe that Wakey's is a similar hybrid but, due to the redevelopment, the pitch was laid in late Autumn and so the grass had to wait for early spring to start doing its bit. This,early season, led to a lot of scuffed knees, elbows and hands, many complaints and many pitch inspections and bad press. The grass (judging by Bongser's weed laden garden) will have thriven now and there should be no issue.

Doubt Wakey have the dosh to relay the pitch annually, so it shouldn't be a problem again.

Perhaps they should have consulted your good self prior to having pre season friendlies on it and used it for pre season training.

Well I would like to retract my comment above , this was defining for Wakey. Doesn’t give me any satisfaction in saying but they look dead and buried. I don’t feel Leigh played particularly well but for us to nil a team and in fairness never looked like conceding should and is a massive worry for them.
If they manage to pick up 5 wins from now till end of the season I will be astonished.

I’d like to see another 5 wins from Leigh to be honest.
