2 big blows. We could have kept Sam Stone. We need a couple of enforcers in the pack and a class outside back otherwise we will be struggling. Will Hardaker last the season or will he have a wobble?

Would have loved to of retained Stone but was resigned to losing him as was assumed he was going to the Storm. What is my biggest fear is Edwin having that much attention his head will be turned , I know he’s contracted but the days of them meaning anything are long gone ,barring a bit of compo

I too am sad to see Blake leave ( if true )however we don’t know how long the club has known his intentions. Just because we are only hearing rumours now doesn’t mean it’s only just happened. We have known about Nene to Leeds for months. When we had one over on the quota the club didn’t worry about it, hence what is going on now.

As much as I like Brand we have been in SL with him before, if we are serious about competing and staying up after this rebrand then we need more players, there will never be a better time with other teams weaker and us with a settled core of quality players and full funding. Derek, please roll the dice and spend the cap we need a top drawer winger and 2 quality props, I’m not convinced with Jack Hughes either. Players like Nisbett, Wilde, Brand, Jones aren’t going to be ten anywhere near the team.

Confirmed on Zero Tackle news in Aus that Blake has returned to Aus due to being homesick. May get an NRL contract or if not hang up the boots.

Well if I had a penny to spare it would be on him having an NRL contract - do we keep his registration so that he can’t sign for anyone else without our consent - may at least get a bit of compo out of it

Disappointed he has not given it a go in SL would have loved to see him perform at that level as championship was way below his level. Should get compensation if he gets an NRL contract and opens up a slot with enough time to fill before season starts. Pity he didn’t say before Stone got taken on by Salford as would have loved to keep him!

Blake has a close relation with some health issues, hence his return to Aus. He isn’t thinking about his rugby at the moment. We wish Blake and his family all the best and hope they get well soon. Thanks for everything Fergie and good luck for the rest of your career .
