Any news on Joe Mellor? Both halves have struggled at times this season without their partner in crime by their side. Hear Hingano did quite well on Sunday but it would be preferable to have our best thirteen starting (and our best other four on the bench) when playing our biggest challengers.

Actually are there any other new injuries?

Good question B&B, and I would also be a little more comfortable knowing that Joe and Ben are fit/playing. That said, 36-0 against Fax makes me believe that we will have the better team right now on Monday regardless. To convert that into a win, we must as always be controlled and professional all game, but most importantly in those first 15-20 mins of each half. Fav faded later in the second half in the last game, but where still individually dangerous at times. Keep the middle sealed when we they have ball in hand and are 30-50 meters out from our line, and they will be forced to try go around us, which we have the back line to make that a hard task (to say the least).

Fev appear to have a number of injuries in their squad at present. Some of their better players may be missing on Monday, some of them may be playing but carrying injuries. If this is correct then it certainly increases our chances of winning. In the game at London they had one or two players carrying injuries who were clearly found out as the game wore on.

Looking at the Fev fans forum since the beginning of the season it is quite clear that the Fev fans are certainly not as chipper about their prospects for this game than when they were earlier in the season. Following our defeat to them in February i think many, but not all, of their fans thought that promotion was theirs. They were certain then that they had the better team and that Leigh were some way behind them and in doing so conveniently overlooked a number of other factors which contributed to Leigh's loss that night which have now been corrected.

Following that defeat many Fev fans did did not fully appreciate the strength of the squad that Leigh were building and the result in the 1895 Cup final and the manner of their defeat came as a shock. That balloon of confidence was well and truly punctured.

The Fev fans' forum now shows that a hefty dose of realism has been taken onboard. I don't think that they underestimate Leigh any longer. The general consensus amongst those of their fans expressing a view is that they expect Leigh to win on Monday. Whilst nothing is ever certain in sport here's hoping that those Fev fans are right.

A Leigh win sells Bash tickets, as the winner at the Bash probably finishes top if Leigh win on Monday.

At the game in London compared to Fev we were younger, fitter, faster, bigger more physical, more powerful. Nothing has changed since London. We win again on Monday. We have the better team.

Mellor in the announced 21 doesn't necessarily mean Mellor to start but, if we have our preferred opening thirteen, Bongser is with Jack: Leigh by two to three scores.

No Busey on the other side so that may allow our middle to get on top earlier. Don’t like his style of play but he is a spark-plug for their pack and does create breaks.
If we can play like we did against Fax we still have this but maybe closer than first thought.

Being ever so optimistic, that looked like Leigh in control, looking at a depleted Fev team sheet and just coasting for most of the match.

Ben better practice his kicking again.

Hingano isn't exactly covering himself in glory as an obvious half for Mellor (though his defence is pretty solid).

Aekins continues to shine in attack and defence but for me the stand out today was Kai.

Given the nature of the squads of both teams it still is hard to draw what the future holds but I think we are in a far stronger position.
