If Smith is fit then I would definitely play him , and play Ipape , but I’m sure I’ve heard Ipape and Hingano can als0 play at loose forward , the team could be
Aekins.
Hitchcox
McDonald.
Wardle .
Dixon .
Reynolds.
Mellor .
Sidlow.
Smith.
Ioane.
Amone.
Stone.
Hingano.
Ipape.
Asiata.
Chamberlain.
Jones.
Or even put Chamberlain at centre, and Wardle on the bench , italldepends on the pitch , as well, there are a few permutations.

| A strong performance, though I've no idea if that was a fair representation of the Widnes squad but I think after our first 10 minute blitz then never recovered from that.
We gifted them quite a few yards which needs to be cut out but were strong in defence, though how much that was them being poor in goal line attack.
Mellor has a good brain on him, except the fart he had with his breakaway, and seems to be getting confident, as does Ben. They both need to have a chat with Higano as he seems to be trying too hard.
Aekins did a lot of good work today, and strong minutes by Sidlow, Wardle and Jones.

| For me it was a good all round performance , our pack is looking very strong and mobile ,add McDonald and Inu to this squad and we will knock a few cricket scores up .They spoke about Dupree before the game , I think they meant Simon Dupree ,again Stone doesn’t get much mentions but he gets through a lot of work , Mellor was very good and Ben Reynolds is very passionate about Leigh ,I love the way he keeps patting the Club badge .I thought young Roberts had a good game , and Aekins try was special.
All in all we ate in the next round , bring on the Geordies on Sunday .

Good evening, Charles, hope you are well.
Missed tonight but will be there on Sunday. Tonight seems to have answered some questions about Widnes' early season points fest. After York's last two results, Bongser would expect 3-4 points for each of his pounds against Noocassel, especially at HQ (though we will ship the newly traditional four points).
A more interesting game will be the one in the C-Cup on Bradford's slutch pile after the debacle on a similar pitch at Fev. Bongser (with his slow to non-existent metabolism) will duck that one too as, at this time of year the coldest places in England are Odsal and The Reebok (waddever).
Over at Fax though.
Was Nene rested tonight (to the detriment of your Fantasies) or has he picked up a knock?

All in all Bongser a good team effort , we started like a house on fire , then became a bit sloppy , but came out early second half and blew them away , some very good performances from Mellor , Aekins , Stone , and Wardle , Sidlow was losing his rag at one stage , and Ioane was given a yellow card , but there was only ever gonna be one winner .
McDonald was said to have a slight knock , so wasn’t risked , but I thought young Roberts who replaced him had a good game , we should get past the Geordies , and it will be difficult at Odsal , but we are getting better each .
Myself I’m ok , my health is improving , I will be at the LSV on Sunday , onwards and upwards.

| Absolutely no complaints here and knocked me for 6
Leighs forwards up the middle did the damage and we had no answer. Your line speed was superb it really was and the gulf in difference was evident to see. No excuses here and the result reflected the performance. Hopefully a game we can build on and improve the performances in the league moving on
Well done again and on your day i'm thinking you's can go all the way. All the best for the rest of the season

| Really impressed with our pack this season. It seems we now have the size & speed to match or beat any competitor in this Division.
Mellor has been, well, Super Joe Mellor, he's on fire at the moment.
Young Roberts did himself proud on debut. Ben Reynolds improved & moved the ball nicely. Amone & Ione & the rest took it to the line & through the line.
I do think if Mellor hadn't have had that monumental brain fart on the break that we would have scored that set & Widnes would have buckled earlier but we will never know.
Speaking of Widnes I can see why they have had a good start & gone 4/4 in Championship (despite who they played) , they can move the ball around & found some good offloads in the tackle.
Widnes fans. We all know now that a small & unwelcome minority threw bottles onto the pitch & also came onto the pitch. Idiot's will be idiot's & the vast majority of genuine RL loving Widnes fans who attended will despise their actions also.
Staying with Widnes fans, it was good to see them travel in good numbers, they were noisy & the vast majority stayed to the end to clap & sing their team off. Good effort !
