| Now Toulouse are returning back to the pack, and after 2 great wins over Fax and Bradford, we could find ourselves level on 24 points with 3 other teams in the coveted 2nd to 5th spots on Sunday assuming Toronto beat Toulouse. The race for a top 5 position is definitely on!! But which position is the best for Leigh to get to the final? The play-offs this year are totally different to what has gone before and are as follows:-
W/e 15 Sep 2nd v 3rd (1), and 4th v 5th (2).
W/e 22 Sep 1st v winner (1), and loser (1) v winner (2)
W/e 29 Sep loser first match above v winner 2nd match above
W/e 6 Oct Final winner 1st match22 Sep v winnerSep 29 match
I think we can all assume Toronto will finish top,but what is the best position to finish after that? At first glance I out might think second as there is the possibility of getting straight to the final after just 2 matches. However, the problem with that is having to win at Toronto in the 2nd weekend, but then having to go back there again in n t o weeks time as they get another chance to reach the the final in week 3. Not only that, but we also play at Toronto on Sep 7 in Toronto the last league match of the season. This could mean therefore travelling to Toronto 3 times in 5 weeks!!! So I would think the best outcok would be to finish 3rd or 4th. Anybody agree?7

| With an away match at Toulouse that could be quite a challenge especially for part time players.
Is the final definitely at the home ground of the highest placed qualifier? That may be the deciding factor.

Yes, almost certainly Toronto.

| Actually after re-checking the rugby league website, if the second placed club does win at Toronto in the 2nd week it does get home advantage in the final, so it might be worth the risk.

| That's how I read it, if we came second won the first game and win at Toronto then we have home advantage in the final
That would be nice.

| Plan/play to win every game, and worry about the next match as they happen.

Agree Glow.. Avoiding relegation was the goal, let’s stick with that.
