It had to happen sooner or later!

www.totalrl.com/forums/index.php ... jury-blow/

Hopefully, Josh Woods can take the opportunity created by Richardson's absence. It does leave us thin at half back though.

As you say Alan, it had to happen at some stage. However with Barrow on Sunday and games against Dews ,Sheff , and Batley, approaching hopefully we can win these games, and Woods get a bit of form back, it’s not the end of the world.

True Ian, but I was being pessimistic about what would happen if one of our halves gets injured. We've no cover there, or elsewhere in the backs, for that matter. I wonder what is happening about the other 2/3 signings our owner mentioned? (along with Emmitt)

Riddy didn’t do badly against Sheffield did he? It’s about time Woods showed us something.

I wouldn't be surprised if James Laithwaite is announced soon Alan.

Good, if he's shaken off his nasty injuries. I was thinking more in terms of a back/some backs.

Well it was always likely to happen so the timing could be a lot worse.
He and Riddy worked well last week by all accounts (not seen the whole game yet) so another week to cement the partnership is a good thing. It does highlight our shortage of depth but we also have McNally if needed down the line.
More bodies would also be good !

The reason Catalans won the game was because he was on the field.

His kicking game was atrocious!

He'll be lucky to be playing at Haresfinch or Clock Face in 2020

JC,it was a Danny’s first Saints game for a while, the conditions were terrible for both sides. As for Danny’s kicking game.?Didnt Peyroux score off one of Danny’s chip kicks?I would have back at Leigh anytime, along with Swift, who is out of contract at Saints this year.

Considering it was Adam Swift's first hit out of the season, I thought he got up to pace very quickly. I wonder who, if anyone, Saints will let us have over Easter? We have been lucky with injuries so far, but without our Saints loan/Dc players, we are very thin on the ground. Obviously, 'our own' players will have to play at HKR on Thursday, but then expecting the same 17 to perform over two Easter games, would be a big ask.

Whilst not being a fan of D/R, I accept we have had no alternative this season. I have, however, been impressed with the quality and commitment of every single player they have sent us.

Alan, I don’t think anyone is a fan of the DR system, but we have done OK by it up to now,as you say we are thin on the ground otherwise and the Cup will show this.

Derek spoke to fans at the York game in the Bar, saying his appetite is back again, hopefully next season he will invest a bit more money then.

I’ve just been looking at players who are out of contract at the end of this season and there are some very good players on the list.Swift being one of them at Saints, I thought he did well yesterday, and hopefully Saints stay injury free all season,we will benefit from this.Getting back to Danny I think he did ok on Saturday, and is a Class player.Although Josh Woods had one of his better games yesterday.Again Marsh doesn’t convince me for Leigh.

I tend to agree - hopefully he is taking time getting used to us/this level. Whilst I have been impressed with Ian Thornley, since day one, he now seems to be blossoming into a major attacking force, showing class, as well as power. I'm also very impressed with Toby Adamson, and he puts to shame some of the high-rep. players we had in the second row last season.
