Could take a look at the help extended to London and catalans and while they are doing so they may wish to properly examine what occurred at bradford.

I have said it before...what is the point of pushing rugby league to the rest of the world when it is dying right under our feet?

A cracking Toronto or American team will not be much use to the rugby fans of Swinton will it?

The whole thing needs a proper overhaul otherwise we are going to be left with 6 pro teams while everyone else is kicked to the kerb

No mention of it on either Widnes website, or in the RFL statement.

Swinton fans tend to pay for their tickets though !
I feel for Swinton, some rank poor management & decisions by past owners/boards & a nomadic existence, now playing in Sale for goodness sake.

In Andy Mazey the Swinton Club at least has a dedicated & hard working Chairman who engages not only with his own fans but Leigh fans & all visiting fans via forums, FaceAche, Twitter etc !

Swinton need to ground share in the Salford Borough with Salford, ideally in a new purpose built & economical to run modern stadia, however Salford can't seem to find a way out of their binding contract to the AJ Bell *if they have even tried*. Couple the aforementioned obstacles to very bad timing, Salford now have no cashed up owner, expansion taking precedent over established RL Clubs & seemingly zero chance of attracting serious investment to both Clubs this seems to be a non starter.
A shared stadium of approx 8k capacity in Salford, Club owned *both Clubs* with match day revenues from corporate & bar sales being kept by the hosts is the only long term route to financial sustainability & chance of success, you could apply the last part to Leigh also.

I hope both Salford clubs can turn their fortunes around.& become sustainable clubs for a century to come.

Then go support TWP. As they don't support the game. Fact Widnes went into admin,hence 12 point deduction. But the RFL agreed to something prior to that admin.

Is a new Widnes RL Club Ltd.Is this to protect the £100k+ donated by the fans, collect more and administer.
Has the RL coughed up enough to satisfy the administrator and creditors, a lot it seems that were unknown to the previous consortium attempting to takeover the club.
A new licence ? in whose name ?
Every sympathy for the fans of Widnes but Mazey is right to ask the questions he has.
