| On the last count we have 19 players, we'll need a lot more depth going into the season if we get a few injuires. We may just loan players in when we need them as and when, to keep the salary count low.
However, starting team looks strong barring a fullback / winger
2 Jonny Pownall
3 Stefan Marsh
4 Iain Thornley
5 Jack Higginson
6 Martyn Ridyard
7 Josh Woods
8 Andy Bracek
9 Declan O'Donnell
10 Tom Spencer
11 Tony Adamson
12 Luke Adamson
13 Nick Gregson
14 Joe Cator
15 Andy Thornley
16 Sam Brooks
17 Mitch Cox
18 Fullback
19 Winger / Centre
20 Centre / second row
21 Oliver Russell (can he play fullback?)
22 Micky Higham
23 Prop
24 Prop
25 Ben Sims

| The season starts in 3 and a half weeks, and we barely have a squad together. May be they are holding back on annoucing signings, who knows?
McNally would be a good call at fullback, is Higson still at Toronto? What other leythers can we sign, Hoppy, Penky (didn't he sign for someone?), one of the 5 wingers from Wigan?

Well, McNally was released from Bradford on compassionate grounds. Guess his signing would depend on whether he can focus on playing, in the face of his wife's illness. (and whether his legal claim against the club from 2017 has been settled) Higson stated, on social media, that he would never go back to Leigh, and Penky has another year to run on his contract at Workington. Don't envy him that journey! Hoppy also left under a cloud at the end of 2017. However, I can't see him or Higson getting much game time at Toronto, so, never say never, I guess!.

| That's it exactly. Logistically playing for you is a no-brainer because, as John Kear said, he can get a call and race away from training and be home quickly if he's needed. Of course it's more about where his mind is at, and no one would judge him for being distracted. Perhaps the normality of playing Rugby could actually help, and you'd be the club best placed to offer him that.
While I'm here, happy new year to you all. Best of luck for 2019.

And likewise to you guys at Bradford. Really looking forward to renewing our rivalry again.
As for the normality of playing rugby, there's been nowt normal about playing at Leigh, this past year!

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| To be honest I know you need more players but the team you’ve put together in a short space of time is pretty decent considering your part time also
