Does this mean Leigh have opted out of the CC in favour of the 1895 Cup or entering both I wonder ?
With such a small squad of part time players how would we possibly manage ?

We don't have an option to opt out of either , shouldn't trouble us this year in truth , be interesting how Widnes approach the potential 6/7 extra matches they will/could play more than Toronto ?

Well you'd have to think they will be more concentrated on returning to SL than any other UK club , and the prospect of having to play another 6/7 games more than their main rival might influence their commitment

It can be quite an advantage, not to be a member of the RFL - then you can pick and choose when to opt out of competitions. To paraphrase George Orwell - [i"All teams are equal, but some are more equal than others!"[/i

What the RFL hasn't yet announced is, what happens if someone (say Widnes - not too likely, but not entirely impossible) get into both the Challenge Cup and 1895 finals. Are they to be expected to play both games, the same weekend? Also, which laws would a SL v Championship game be played under - the RFL laws, or the SL laws?
