| It is obvious DB is to blame for our current position, he kept Jukesy on when it was obvious he wasn't up to the job, he gave out the inflated 2 contracts to players, nobody else.
It looks like we are in a terrible situation now , I rate DB alongside the Bell and Harts, folk keep saying thanks for the memories, not me he should leave now and let someone else try to sort out the mess, and take with him his Yes Men.We as fans are left to support what's left of the team, I know a good amount won't desert the team.We need something sorting out as soon as poss.

| As usual a union official wants to have his cake and eat it. ‘We hope a new investor comes in and throws hundreds of thousands of pounds away on a problem they didn’t create’. Ain’t going to happen pal.
The sooner we start afresh and get cracking in preparing for life in League 1 the better.

| I cannot argue with any of that article.
The massive issue was all the change in playing personnel for which simply wasn't needed.
The rest is history and the adrenaline rush of the last 5 years has now come to a sorry end. At least the peace and quiet that comes with the backlash is a refreshing change !

| Am sure Derek didn’t what to end up here, another win and we would be playing for a super league place. Fine margins this year and last Question is does this kind of personal ashault on an investor in RL help us or encourage anyone to invest in RL.

| Whilst I am definitely of the opinion that we should have retained some of last season's squad, I wonder how many of them would have wanted to stay, to play in the Championship?
Also, the GMB guy suggests that the ultimate sanction the players possess, would be to 'secure their wages through the UK courts.' However, if the club is liquidated, as a result of not being able to fulfil its financial commitments, just how much of those wages would the players get?

Agree 100% Leyther 14,about fine margins ,the same can be said of Fev another win and they would be playing for a SL place, one lose and Fax wouldn't have been there, all ifs ands ,and buts, again I'm sure DB didn't want to end up here, but we have, and have to carry on.
The composition is not Noisys writing ,it's just in his column,a lot of Journalists,do this,as was stated though the Parachute payment was just that, but how was it used?Totally dismantle a decent team, maybe some didn't want to play in the Championship, but a fair few would have stayed given the chance to do so , but DB and KC had other ideas.

That stuck out like a sore thumb - players pursuing 'full wages' would be a cast iron way to force administration and put themselves at the back of the queue for any debt payouts.

| Off course it would, like that nob from the trade unions doesn't already know this, he is one of those little nobodies that if you put in a suit thinks that he is important and peopke can't see through him, perhaps if his tactics go belly up and the players are left with nothing he will over-write their losses.
The only truth in all of this is it is those and other players who have already departed are the main reason we are in this sorry mess, to all those who say it is Beaumont's fault, throughout this season DJB never knocked on once, he never missed a tackle, he didn't keep hold when he should have passed, he didn't walk about the field looking half interested, he didn't excecute nothing kicks to the opposition, he didn't get sent off and suspended, what he did do was give these guy's a job and pay them well with good money for the following year, they chose to wipe their ariss on the Leigh shirt, that is were the blame lies not the guy putting his trust and the fans of the club in our town in them.
If they have to leave with nothing so be it, they are responsible for pressing their own self destruct button.

| It's not the fault of the majority of players left behind, the over paid players have sorted themselves out whilst Beaumont is shafting those players on ordinary money who have bills to pay. I know that the majority of these lads would not push for money past the end of the year however he's trying to get out of paying in November and he's already refusing to pay any promised win bonuses, the union is doing what it does , looking after its members from unscrupulous incompetent employers.

Conversely, he didn't have the courage to dispatch Jukes post relegation. Perhaps he came cheap.

| The money that he was going to use if we made top four, 1.2 million plus approx 1 mill gate fees plus remaining match gate fees, this team is winning it's games and attracting 3 to 4 thousand loyal speccys, plus transfer fees for several of the senior players, plus any money Beaumont has loaned (not given) to the club, the money should be in Leigh's bank account including all wages already saved, it's not Beaumont's to dip into as he sees fit and bully young lads by threatening to call in his loans and sink the club.

Strong words and views Hanibal, obviously you are entitled to your opinions and from what you inferr you know more than most.
Myself I'm not sure if money was loaned or given to the Club, I would hope it was given,as for bullying the young lads,I would have thought they should be praised for turning in such good performances in the light of the difficult times.
The blame finger has to be pointed at the players firstly,as stated DB didn't miss the tackles , give the penalties away or get suspended, but he DID promise to pay the contract money and now can't, I again would hope he doesn't threaten to sink the Club, after all he says he loves the Club ,so all we as fans can do at the moment is wonder.Myself I will be at Fev on Sunday cheering on the 17 lads that wear the shirt.
