If we want a fast game with quick ptb's and no spoiling tactics, then a SL referee should be ideal.

Agreed, but unfortunately we got JC.....
But seriously we can make this work in our favour despite my overall opinion of how good Mr Childs is. We need to do exactly as you suggest and really work on gaining fast play the balls. That way we gain momentum from them or from the inevitable penalties that will come if Batley try to spoil. On the flip side we need to be squeeky clean to get Mr Childs in a positive mindset with regards to us in the game.

I don't think they are terrible. But I also don't think roatating, penalising them is the answer. To keep switching their roles from SL with the VR and then Championship with you have to use your own judgement.

Then again in the 8's with in goal judges, just too much being asked of them.

Just watched the Storm v Dragons. What a game, the Refs seem to play under a different set of rules let the game flow, far more lenient on play the ball makes the game faster.The players seem fitter Widdup and Graham ran the game for Dragons what a loss to English R.L.

They are not under different rules each week. Our refs are.
