| Former Warrington half back Chris Sandow is set for a shock return to the full time game with news he is on the verge of signing for Toronto Wolfpack.
The mercurial half back lit Super League alight during his time with Warrington but later fell prey to Warrington's poor culture of unprofessional instilled by head coach Tony Smith.
Rumours have been circulating about Sandow's future for months and peaked yesterday after a cryptic instagram post by him suggesting he had just signed for a new club. This was followed by a post by Toronto Wolfpack on social media late last night suggesting that a new signing announcement was imminent (although some have suggested this could be a club mascot).
Signing Sandow now is thought to be linked to Toronto's start of a 9 week stretch they have of games in North America. It is believed he could only be announced now so as he can play the requisite amount of games required in North America so as in order to obtain a UK visa for the Middle 8's towards the end of the season. Sandow's lack of recent full time games back in Australia mean he doesn't automatically qualify for a UK work Visa.
The mercurial halfback is another huge statement of intent by the Toronto club and sees them retain their position as bookies favorites for promotion towards the end of the year.

Looks like we could probably use him, Rowley and Noble will know. Probably cost a bit but Hey, what is a couple of hundred thousand amongst friends. Many Toronto people still think it is a mascot that will be announced.

| They will need to let another Aussie leave, as there quota is full.
I'm all for game expansion into USA & Canada, but how is this sustainable? They need to develope the grass roots over in Canada! Embarrasing how they dont have a single Canadian player.

And we are doing development...just go to the TWP website and see how they are running the rugby clinic downtown in the city square this week;lots going on. Give us time for proper development....already in just 1 year our club has done more for development than some English clubs have done in 100 years...cut us some slack, it is happening. Oh ya,and by the way,we will use our own developmental model, not yours. We have one that works better.

The fans developing an arrogant attitude like Rowley
By development, I mean developing Canadian Rugby players, which currently you have zero. You need a sustainable plan, because we've seen teams come and go, PSG, Crusaders etc...

How many of your squad came through the Leigh academy? How long has Leigh had a rugby league club?
Toronto Wolfpack held various trials and made some signings from them, give them a chance they have only been in existence for 2 years, hardly enough time to create a home grown Super League squad.

To be fair Kevin, we now have a Toronto fan coming on here regularly gloating now....which is quite annoying....if it was on the Virtual Terrace, then fair enough.
Years ago I went on the Wigan forum (after they broke the salary cap) and typed 'Are you going break the cap again next season" that's all I put, and I am permanently banned from there now.
We only have one active moderator on here at the moment, and Canoeman will be testing his patience, that's for sure.
