How do we all feel about this ? . Dereks outspoken ways is probably whats caused all this paranoia " they are all against us" ... its not going to get any better after this . A few callings did go against us yesterday but it happens in every game ive seen this yr tbh

It's stupid what he come out and said he will find himself in front of the discipline panel it's the last thing we need. Some games decisions go against you just ignore and get on with it not go public about it

I've always been of the opinion that comments like that are not for the public domain. But I too am getting thoroughly fed up of the performance of 'certain referees'. I know they have a difficult job to do, but some seem to manage a lot better than others. And, for me, yesterday's ref has been, and will always be one of the 'others'! We saw a lot of him in the Championship, and I didn't like what I saw then - when we were winning all our games. I'm afraid that what was said, needed saying!

Let's get one thing clear. We were never going to beat Cas - they are a class apart, and played rugby that was wonderful to watch. However, before the game, I said that the guy with the whistle wouldn't let us play and, in the main, he didn't. I know the players are supposed to be professionals, and shouldn't let the ref get to them, but when virtually every 50/50 call goes against you, just how do you keep your discipline?

Yesterday, I went to watch and enjoy a closely contested game, and appreciate our 'classy' opponents. That was totally ruined, for me, by the incompetence and inconsistency of the guy who was supposed to be in charge. He succeeded in ruining the 'contest' by doing his bit to ensure a one-sided affair.

Well played Cas - you are indeed classy - but please keep away from Leigh Centurions, Mr Kendall. We have seen far too much of you this season!

It's very frustrating when we witness identical incidents yesterday to last Sunday namely Robert Lui punching the ball out and clear rips of the ball all over the screens costing us try's and IMO points

Far too many subjective rules in RL , the try/no try is a farce , even yesterday Mr Kendal was reacting differently to identical situations for us , 1st allowing play to continue when Cas were offside at a scrum , then penalising it later

As for Dereck coming out public with it , well he'll be roundly condemned for it , but it needed saying

I was one of those who witnessed our win at Hull , part of the reason for that is that essentially there were no critical 50/50 decisions needed from the ref , meaning an even game open for the best performance on the day to win it , IMO since our away defeat at Wakey only our home defeat to Widnes and the Hull win have been without excessive influence from the ref

Do you mean the one who clearly head butted Maria??, I'm sure you'll agree it's very frustrating when it is shown on the screen a number of times, do you not agree that head butting is a sending off offence

Also surprised that the guy who came in very late to take Stewart out didn't damage his arm

Be interested to see the disciplinary this week, Crooks likely heading for a ban let's see how many of you guys are cited

And just to add, you are without doubt the most entertaining team I have seen for many a year, solid up front and expansive along the back line - a pleasure to watch in the main, the score itself doesn't particularly bother me

The problem with outbursts like this is that it has come after a game where any neutral watching will tell you the ref had a pretty decent game. He made mistakes for both sides a good example was in the lead up to one of Cas's tries when he waved play on then sent it upstairs as a no try. Its little stuff like that but overall any fair minded person watching that will know it was pretty even ref wise.

I think it more shows a man on edge who is losing his cool now he is playing with the big boys and is struggling to take the club where he wants them to be.

No he didn't , and in hindsight having seen the match on TV it is clear he wasn't ' faking ' an injury as we have seen this year , on the big screen near us it looked like he attempted a head butt on Maria the tackling player , however the TV coverage did show your player McMeekin deliberately taking Glenn Stewart out of the game , and attempting to do the same to our half back , so add this to the disgraceful attempt by McShane to spear tackle Gareth Hock out of the 1 st game at yours , you don't have the moral high ground here

Yes you are a very good team , you also have lets call it a ' mean streak ' that winning teams generally have , we won't meet again this season and I wish you well

Greg he wasn't just referring to decisions against Leigh though. It was a general statement to the standard of refereeing in my opinion. He said he expected to lose yesterday but I have to say some of those decisions and blindness to a 4 yard forward pass beggared belief. Interesting comments on social media too from ex referees re phone calls recieved from higher up an hour before games suggesting directives given to them. The ref in question stated he ignored the instruction and just did what was right. Read into that what you will

In isolation perhaps you are right , although it seems to be a recurring theme that the SKY pundits,commentators and indeed the ' tame ' ex ref are being dumbfounded by decisions against us , the Wakey away game being another

So expand that to several other games during our recent run and you can see the frustration , last Sunday at Newcastle Robert Lui did exactly what Ben Reynolds did yesterday but the decision was given the opposite way , costing us a try

From Derecks and our point of view it has reached the point where we have nothing to lose ( apart from a few grand for him ) , we don't expect to be allowed a fair crack anymore , especially against ' perceived ' superior teams , with Leeds and Wigan up next we'll just have to see

That was the worst refereeing display I have seen, and im not surprised Dereks had enough of them. Hicks should have over ruled the Pelisier decision, as it was clear Maria was pulled forward, but god only knows why he over ruled the other involving Ben Reynolds. Those are big decisions that change a game. Im not saying we would have won the game, but we would have been closer.

Derek says others feel this way , if thats the case they should all get together & sort it

Not sure how wise the comments are, as don't think they will achieve anything and if the culture of blame the refs, rather than concentrate on things that can be controlled as made it's way into the club, then we're screwed.

That said, I also get bored of people with a grudge using forum anonymity to spread s***, so decidedly mixed feelings about this thread!

The thing is , that now Dereck has taken it on his shoulders the players can now forget it and just get on with playing , rather than frustration getting the better of them as displayed yesterday

No doubt our next few matches will come under more scrutiny , is that a bad thing ?
