I am pretty sure that Wigan & Leigh made a joint commitment to this friendly fixture some time ago, although that was pre SL, post Champxit that could change.

I got the impression that Leigh v Wigan was a regular fixture.

Wigan cant play friendlies at the DW and Leigh have the under soil heating. Get two full teams on and see how we go !

Forget the Wigan game as a friendly, my prediction is Leigh won't play any SL teams in friendless leading up to the start of the new season.

Sod the friendlies,unless for a good cause..Green is mean,red is your friend.

Probably be good if we don't actually, don't want any rivals to be able to gauge where we are at & work out our strengths & weaknesses pre season, even if they can send coaching staff to watch.

They can train until they are the physically fittest players on earth, but nothing prepares you better for the physical challenge than actual game time. They need the pre-season games ('friendlies' is a misnomer) to develop match fitness.

With you, Alan, but play no one higher than seventh finishers last season. Do not want a morale draining tonking just prior to a nightmare early season fixture list.

And think we'll give Leeds a miss to boot!
