So Jukesy says one more signing to maybe come in then the squad is complete. Is that us up to the salary cap or do we have space for additions mid-season should injuries/form dictate?

It also depends on how much more money Mr Beaumont is willing to keep putting in. Maybe he'll wait till he's sees if the public of Leigh support the team.

A quick count, we have at least 28 players for this season, dont think there will be a lot left on the cap.

I would hope Derek wouldn't be needed to tip in this season as the sky funding covers the cap, we would have £1m plus through the gate and sponsorship looks strong.

That wouldn't be viable..You'd have a player on 200/250k a season still costing 170k on the cap.We are just not in a position structurally at this point to even contemplate a marquee player.Get stabilty in SL is paramount,get the academy going,get the youth coming through.

Then you're in a position to add a marquee player.Many more seasons to go before that.

Looking at the squad as a whole, I don't believe it is the most expensively assembled in SL looking around at others. Of course some of those 'others' might be running with a Marquee (many more won't) but some will be paying big £££ to retain their top stars.

Who would be Leigh's top earners ?

Mickey Higham ? Maybe. Most probably Glenn Stewart from Catalan, at a guess, but no huge names beyond that. So unless the next name is massive, then I reckon there is a little bit of movement on the SC for mid/later season if needed.

Bottom line is Leigh will have to pay an established player better to take the risk with a Promoted club.
