I was just looking at the bottom of the table today and didn't realise how bad Sheffield's season had been. Or, should I say how [igood[/i Swinton's and Oldham's season has been.

The difference being, if like last season, that they keep their points from this season, so if they are already adrift on points, it makes it that much more difficult not to get relegated.

It's their responsibility not to be adrift on points. They have played everyone twice so in theory would be relegated anyway. They now have a second chance to recover their season. Alternatively you could argue that if you have 4 teams are separated by 2 points it would be unfair to relegate the club who finished 9th out of 12 in the regular season.

To have straight pro/related you have to have a season where each team played the others twice home and away. The Summer bash skews the table depending on who plays who at Blackpool. If Bradford had played say Worky instead of us for example the Bulls would probably be in the top 4 at the moment and not 5th.

No system is perfect....except that is a regular season with no extra fixtures. Then if you want a play off series you can have one.

I'm not against the system, the system is the system, we as fans just have to deal with it, was just making the comparison between the bottom 8s and teams in the middles 8s where everything is reset to zero.

Nailing my colours to the mast, I'd be more than happy to see the Eagles relegated.
