Well we have come through a long run of away fixtures and are still top of the league. 6 of our last 7 games have been away from home so it is a great effort to do so well on the road. Almost forgotten what the LSV looks like!

For the run in we now have 5 home games (Fev, Worky, Bradford, Fax and Dewsbury) and just 2 away (London and Sheffield)

Bradford losing today leaves them 11pts behind which SHOULD mean we will take a top 2 place but with London just 3pts behind we can't afford to drop off if we want to take top spot once again.

We haven't lost a league game at the LSV for close to 3 years now, hopefully we can keep that record running to the end of the season.

The key match is London away, if we win that game I reckon top spot is ours to lose.

Would be good to top the table going into the middle 8's!

Who'd have predicted a league table looking like that at the start of the season! Leigh top, Bradford out of the top 4 but Batley in there! Still not over yet & those are a hard run of fixtures even if most of them are at home. We can't be getting complacent, far from it I think we need to start stepping it up & adopting the mentality of always giving 100% for 80 min we'll need to succeed in the Qualifiers. London away is the key one though. Will need to be focused after the long journey down and playing at our best to beat them. As it's looking highly likely us & London top 2 finishing top & not having to make the long trip down to London again in the Super 8s is a huge advantage.

Who would have predicted Leeds in the Middle 8 (probably), but not Bradford (possibly)!

Not to mention both Oldham and Swinton having a very good chance of staying up.

It's time to really start to concentrate on the key things for the middle 8s that we haven't yet made a part of our natural game.
Reduce the mistakes with the ball in hand, and reduce the number of penalties given away.
Speed up our own play the ball, while we slow down the opposing teams play the ball without getting penalised (3 in a tackle when possible).
Work on our line attack kicking game and our positional kicking game.
Keep rotating the forwards to keep them as fresh and injury free as possible.
Plug the gaps around the play the ball when on our own line.

Some tough games there, which should be ideal to ramp up performances for the middle 8's. A lot of improvement still needed I reckon but some decent games there to test ourselves

I think London will lose a few away from home meaning Leigh will be able to prepare for the middle 8's better. Im not even sure London have been that much better than last year its just their main rivals, Bradford, Sheffield and Fax have been a lot worse.

Bradford still with a game in hand,London's last two fixtures (Batley and Fax) look interesting.A win against the Bronco's could still leave 5 teams in the mix for positions 2,3 and 4. Could be a key match for all contenders.

Doesn't really matter where you finish, no one is going up, unfortunately. icon_sad.gif

Well, maybe two weeks ago that was most likely. However I think that if we could just add a couple of very classy looking halfbacks before the 8s then.........
Seriously, it is a tall order but I honestly think that we will be in with a chance if we can tighten up our defence.

Realistically a Championship Club would have to win all Championship games (3) and beat two Super League teams to possibly be auto promoted or home advantage in the MPG,even that is not guaranteed as this scenario is based on two SL teams losing two games each and points difference being the factor.

Massive task ahead to reach the goal..

London coming second would be ideal as they will have a great chance to win their home games against SL opposition (thus aiding Leigh)

They will get hammered IMO. The bottom of Sl has got better this year and the top of the championship apart from arguably Leigh has got worse. There will be a lot of bigger scores than last year unfortunatley but if Leigh play their cards right they should be the team that gets the shot in the MPG so in a one off you just never know.

You obviously have not watched any of our (London) games this year?
We are a considerably better team than last season, maybe it's you lot that have gotten worse?

Plus we do not have an unlimited salary cap icon_wink.gif
