Quick Question - For the less mobile of us where the LSV is more than just a small skip and a hop from the bus station, Will the coach be picking up in Leigh Town centre ?

Isn't there a bus that goes to the LSV?

Well no not exactly

Getting into Leigh is a lot easier to get to than the LSV on a Sunday / BH Monday to catch the coach. On a match day there are 3,000 fans making their way to LSV, not on an away day however. I need to get from Butts Bridge to Leigh on the bus, and then I need to wait 45 mins for another bus to take me to the LSV to catch the coach. It's a little silly.

I never understand why the coaches need to go from LSV? It is not like they open up to serve anyrefreshments. Anyway not a moan (as such) just a simple question.

I may book on the Ellesmere coach if the LISA coach is not picking up in Leigh. That is all.

Being Easter Monday and bad bus service can't see a problem with that it could go thee first

Thank you for the honest reply and that is fair enough If it is easier for the majority to get to LSV than into Leigh.I shall enquire at The Ellesmere pub about their coach.

Yes there is. It departs the bus station 5 min before my bus arrives and then it is a wait in a cold bus station of over 55 mins for the next one.

Anyway not to worry. Leigh 24/7 has given a good explanation.

Leaving lsv at 10.45 am be there for 10.30
Boars head 10.50
Atherton 11.00
Price £11 each
We will be doing one stop of 20 to 30 mins going depending on time and a 10 min toilet break only on return journey
I will be selling tickets after Saturday's game in the legends bar and then Gill will sell what's left Monday and Tues and Thursday of next week

I have now managed to secure alternative transport up to Workington but just an interesting point on the above.

I was talking to a family on Saturday who use the coach regularly and they say they always embark the coach at LSV despite living on Windermere Rd. The reason they explained was whilst it was incovenient to get over to LSV, it was so they could all sit relatively together and not end up dotted around the spare seats once it pulls in at the Boars. Their friends do the same.

Valid point I thought.
