Rumours are he's off to Wigan. For me that would be one of the stupidest decisions Leigh have ever made if we let him go. He's Class and in my opinion if he didn't play against Salford and Wakefield in the CC last year then we wouldn't have won. He just gets on with his job and is a great leader. You hear all these constant threads about Brierley etc.. But players such as beswick dont get the credit they deserve.

Only a couple of people have mentioned his name on the Wigan board, despite McIlorum's horrendous injury. Despite Lewis Foster's rich promise, I think we are better balanced and more inspired by Bob's presence.

We need a return to the Beswick + Higham Hooker game for me, at least for the toughest games like Bradford, Fax, Eagles, London for example, as you know exactly what you're getting when they take the field.

Foster can get plenty of opportunities in the other games.

I hope so Frank - just to give us a bit more variety and stability. That said, I like the look of young Foster - I think he will develop into an excellent player.

There's been rumours linking him to w!g@n for a few months now and guess what, he's still here! He said in the Legends' Bar on Sunday that he's about 4 weeks off I think. We desperately need him back, we look a much better team with an experienced hooker leading the way.

Bob Beswick is 31 now and has given his all playing for Leigh and as such he should be given the opportunity of playing at a higher level with Wigan if they want to sign him. I for one hope he gets the chance and gets to play a couple of seasons in Super League.

Same with Ryan. He's 23 and as a halfback he needs to get into SL now. If he has a poor season or a bad injury then his chance may have gone forever. And let's face facts, it is going to be extremely difficult for any Champ team to get promoted with the salary cap weighted too much towards SL teams.

You should never stand in the way of a loyal player playing at a higher level.

On a side note, I wish the newly signed players (Hansen excluded) showed the same passion as Ryan did on Sunday. His heart is 100% Leigh when he pulls on that jersey.

So, if a player wants to leave, we should reward their loyalty? Nobody holds guns to players heads when they sign these contracts, so why should we just let them go as soon as they get a better offer?
