[quote="Steve":1xb0p6sn] Dislike Leigh with a passion, but they are a million miles ahead of any other club in this league, a sad fact. [/quote:1xb0p6sn]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_24148.jpg |

| We really need to start playing well for much longer periods of matches.
I never felt like we were in danger of losing tonight but to be honest I thought that for the 1st 55 minutes of the match we were fairly rubbish. It was an endless procession of knock ons, passes into touch, running into touch, obstructions, forward passes, crap kicks (when we made it that far!) and sloppy technical penalties. Was good tackling practice (defence was great tonight mostly) but we just spent most of the match defending in our own 20 or clearing our own 20.
Up side is that after 55 minutes of being cr@p it was 12 - 12. Then for around 12 minutes when it 'clicked' we blew them away and scored 22 points before putting the cue back on the rack again.
We missed Ridyard tonight. We looked much less organised and structured without him and there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication going on.
We need to be much more ruthless and a lot more switched on going into the 8's. Hopefully the last 2 matches are just a result of us having already got the league sewn up as we have been seriously sloppy.
Anyway, rant over. League Leaders 2 years in a row and only 1 league loss per year is bloody good going. Been a great season and the lads deserve a huge following on Sunday to see them lift the Shield.
Thought Moimoi and Higham were a class above tonight and Pala looked very good in the centres too.

| Agree with that.
There have been many times this season when we have seldom got out of third gear it seems, not that that is ever an excuse for some really dodgy play, just a bit of complacency at times.
To be fair we've been able to do that most of the time, with either our full time fitness or just pure skill taking getting us the two points.
I think we've shown that in the cup run, there is a lot more focus, granted still not for the full 80, but against Salford, Wakey and especially Wire there was a lot more concentration and composure, which is the one thing I worry that we lack sometimes.

| I would say the full time did play a part in the first half of the season, all teams did get stronger in the second half of it. All credit to Leigh they still couldn't match us.The cup run for me ended when it should have, albeit the better side on the day lost.
We have been far better in the second half of most games this season,we just need to do the same in first half.

| Did any "fringe players" make a case for a starting position in the 8's or at least a bench spot? I am thinking mainly of Pala.

Ben Reynolds had a top game and is more than useful cover for either Riddy or Kes.

Agree with that, exposed a bit defensively but sprayed some excellent passes out and looks a very competent goal kicker. We missed Ridyard in general but Reynolds looks a very good prospect indeed. Looks more of a Ridyard than Brierly type of player

| Pala set up two tries brilliantly, looked solid in defence and had an all round good game.

| Always said you only realise what Ridy does when he's not out there doing it, we really look a lot less composed and don't seem to have as much of a plan without him. Perhaps too many fresh faces coming back from injury, perhaps focus has gone now we've won the league who knows. Dewsbury never looked like winning it but we didn't even approach our potential.
Thought Pala was excellent, should have been man of the match.

| Riddy been playing with this team for a LONG time now, give Ben a chance, it will obviously not be as smooth because ben has not had the GAME TIME with the players, yes we miss riddy but would we if ben had been playing for the last 3 years or so

| We need regular games against a higher class of opponent. We've been able to get away with coasting for most of the time this season. Middle 8's will be very interesting, and we might start to find out how much we've got in the tank in regards to fitness and concentration.
