| As much as I admire the work that Jamie Acton puts in week to week, it was obvious in that first half that he was a bit of a liability. To leave him out for the second half was a good decision by Rowley. I feel that he would have cost us dearly and lost it completely if he had been left on. A great player he is, but would be very costly playing in Superleague. After the first half I was really fearful that we would come out and lose our discipline completely. So so glad I was wrong. Fantastic game and incredible result.

17580.jpg First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

| Quote: mr. chairman "The master stroke was getting hock and Fui off and putting Wilkes and hoppy at props'"
Couldn't agree more. Hoppy's best game for us since he came back, and Ollie was fantastic. Have to say though that Fui came back strong when he came back on both times. Never less than three in the tackle and still driving them back.
So many stand out players and moments but for me Riddy, Ryan were outstanding AND Bob Beswick was the rock that everything was built on.

| Bob Beswick was M.o.M. By a mile. A superb 20/20 at a crucial time and a hand in at least of the tries scored as well as one for himself an apparently only 24! Who needs Mickey Higham? Also why were the pikemen allowed to cover up all our signage on Friday. -it's our ground!!!!!

| Beswick was unreal today. Tremendous second half from Hopkins and, despite the couple of handling errors, Moimoi was a class above at times.

| Hopkins was superb today, and another big effort from Dixon and Goulden. Unfortunately Acton still not showing that he can be trusted to keep his head in the big games. Would be good to see Emmitt and Spencer back in the 17 next week in my opinion.
Not sure what's going on with Hock, but he's not justifying the hype at the moment. Hopefully will do by the time of middle 8s.

| Great game today no doubt ,the usual suspects stand out again,I think Fui had a decent game but is nowhere near 100% fit , as for Hock?I'm not sure , was he fit?Did he get injured?I wouldn't give up on him yet though,I think Acton has a lot to learn at this higher level ,I thought Platt had a poor first half but a good second.
Still a great result ,can't wait for Blackpool ,Riddy and Ryan ,priceless.

simpsons/PDT13.gif Brad Fitler "If the ref's decision decides your game. You haven't done enough prior."
Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.
Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

| Apparently Hock came off with a twisted knee. Hopkins was awesome 2nd half. When I saw his break at the start of the half my first thought was that should give us some confidence, and it did.
