| Wouldn't these deals be the same as we have for Reynolds? Cas have first refusal on him when his contract is up at the end of the season. Doesn't necessarily mean he'll go. Imagine that will be the case for these players.

| If it's a first refusal option then I don't think there is a problem. If there's a deal in place that guarantees they go back to Leeds, then the rules have been flouted.

| Yes Michael, that is exactly what was stated in the original report on the players signing for Featherstone. Nothing about a 'first refusal' although I do agree there is not much difference. However we are not utilising DR as well. Technically it seems they have covered themselves as far as RFL rules go. As far as the spirit of the game goes I am not so sure. We can see what is happening as can the RFL, but it is just another loophole they have failed to close either knowingly or unknowingly (unlikely). This investigation I suspect is just paying lip service to the clubs that have complained to the RFL.
Unfortunately, I have just remembered that we could also be 'guilty'. Barrow have several of our players and now Pitman has gone to Barrow also. That would have taken barrow over the limit of loan/DR players allowed had Josh Ward not signed a contract with Barrow a couple of weeks ago.

| With Reynolds isn't it an RFL rule that Cas have to have the opportunity of offering him a contract at the end of the season because he's come through their youth set up? Doubt there'll be a problem with Pitman at Barrow as he's there player & it's only talk saying "Hopefully we'll see him back one day, we'll keep in contact with him." which is fine; think the problem is that these players already have a contract signed with Leeds next year. Doubt it's actually in breach of the rules, clubs do it all the time, look at Joe Burgess who's already signed a contract with Sydney Roosters for next year; it's the reason why it's been done, to flout already lax DR & loan quotas, which is wrong & hopefully the RFL will change the rules for next season, somehow.

| Reynolds will be off if he doesn't start appearing in some first team 17's. Far too good be in the reserves or not playing every week.

| Reynolds might be too good for the reserves, but who would make way for him?

| It's simple the difference between our dealings and ultimately the dealings of Fev/Leeds.
We send players out on loan and dual so therefore can happily still train with their parent club e.g us.
However I wonder why Featherstone signed and registered players would still need to train with Leeds....
There lies the problem.... Be interesting to see how Saint Gary navigates out of this one.. Cretin!!

| Pitman would not have been able to go to Barrow would he? That only became possible because Josh Ward left us a couple of weeks ago and signed a contract with Barrow.

| And Pitman because he's on loan can train with us. Where as Josh is a Barrow player and doesn't train with Leigh any more just like Hock doesn't train with Salford and Reynolds doesn't train with Cas..
However, the so called Fev signings from Leeds... Well a championship club may have evidence that those players have been training hard with the Rhinos hence the investigation!!
