Leigh Centurions are pleased to confirm that tickets for their games at LSV will be available from five outlets throughout the local area, allowing supporters extra flexibility if they are unable to get to the ticket office at the stadium or the retail outlet on Leigh Market.

A few years ago I mentioned going to Limerick and the towns pubs selling Munster tickets (Some Staff also wore club colours

) and their flags flying in the main shopping area, well today was the first time in a while I drove down Spinning Jenny and was pleasantly surprised to see the 'Believe in Leigh' flags flying and now pubs selling tickets.

They were selling like hot cakes in the Red Lion, Westleigh yesterday. One bloke alone bought 5 adult tickets and he is not a regular.

This is a great initiative.

I actually think his prediction that we’re heading for a very big crowd could actually be correct.

Over the weekend speaking to various people I’ve heard of quite a few newbie’s going, I was told about a young lad who wanted to go for his birthday, so all his family are going 20 odd of them. I was talking to another lad who’s taking his family to their first ever game.

My S-I-L and her family are going thanks to me giving the twins free season tickets.


And I’m even taking the Wife to this one……………..well it is Valentine’s



A little O/T but it was good to see yesterday a group of about 10 youngsters stood over the tunnel area in the North Stand, great viewing point for them, with standing at the wall not an option at LSV and with the expected large crowd (which hopefully will continue) perhaps these areas could become ‘Kid Zones’ giving them a vantage point and their own space to enjoying themselves with their friends.

This coupled with the recent announcement that the club has been getting into the local primary schools is probably the most encouraging news coming out of the club for the past 25 years and proof we are working hard to climb back up the ladder in RL.
It shows the people running the club are taking it in the right direction and what we are seeing on the pitch is being backed up off it to ensure its not just a season or two that we see success.

Couldn't agree more Jenky. Great stuff from the club on all angles at the moment. People use this phrase a lot but I think we can safely say there is a genuine buzz around the town for this fixture and indeed season. The new structure from the RFL have enabled this and I think we all can't wait for the season to unfold. Roll on Bradford and let's hope for a huge crowd this game and for the games to come.
