| Mike Latham has confirmed that looking back in the records, this season will be the BEST ever!
This team can only lose a maximum of 3 games this season (Leeds - cup, Doncaster away - hopefully no more!)
The other best season was when Leigh lost just 4 games in a whole season.
Lets completely blow the record away by keeping it to just 2 losing games in the season.
Well done to Paul and the boys from us all in the players association.
Jason

| I have really enjoyed this season, the club can be proud of what we have achieved and a big pat on the back for everyone involved from me.
As for best EVER, well Leigh lifting the Challenge Cup in front of 90,000 supporters to secure their second piece of silverware of the 1970/71 season will take some beating.
Being crowned the Rugby League champions in 1981/82 is a close second I have to admit.
I personally do not judge best ever seasons on defeats but only 2 or 3 defeats in a season is an achievement none the less.

| Its been one heck of a season (and can hopefully be rounded off with the guys deservedly taking a trophy and some medals) and one that will hopefully lay the platform for future success.
Its been brilliant.

..... and I'll be standing in the Hilton Park stand, yes that's right I've named the North Stand myself: |
|
| The club as a whole has reached new heights for me. I'm 38 now and I don't think I've ever known the club be better organised and efficient as it is today. On the playing front I'm proud we're doing so well with a Leyther in charge. There were dissenting voices on here when it was rumoured Paul Rowley may get the job and I said "what have we got to lose"? If nothing else we were guaranteed 100% effort and commitment because he's Leigh through and through.
Since then Paul has developed into the best young coach in the game as far as I'm concerned. His learning curve under the likes of Neil Kelly & Ian Millward has obviously stood him in very good stead but he's his own man and the players have responded brilliantly to him. I can't say enough about his backroom staff and all the players both reserve and first team. Just a big thanks for making me a very happy and proud supporter.
I hope you enjoy pulling on the shirt to play for this town as much as I enjoy watching you play

| Been a great season but best ever? If you're going off number of losses then yes it is but as said earlier, winning the challenge cup in 71 (I was only 6 so don't remember it) and the league in 82 (I was at Whitehaven that memorable night) top it for me.

| Winning the league in 82 was a much greater achievement than finishing top of the second division.
