20/20 Cricket at Leigh Cricket Club.
Did it take place on Monday?
If so, if anyone went how did it go and who won.

Leigh CC won by 15 runs.....didn't go though, found result on Leigh Centurions twitter account.

The cricket game DID take place , but I only watched the first innings which was Leigh Past players Cricketers batting , they scored 151 for 6 , but it was very entertaining , I didn't know many of the Cricketers , but for the Rugby past players they had , Tony Cottrell , Jason Donohue , John Pendlebury , Paul Topping , John Costello ,I cant remember who else played , but Stan Walmesley was umpire .Tony Cottrell still looks very fit for his age , took a very nimble catch and a run out and Bowled well , ive never seen John Costello run as mutch , fielding on the boundary , and Jason looked very unfit a bit overweight , though I cant talk much about that , the weather was cold , but very entertaining game of Cricket .I don't know how the Rugby lads did for their innings .

We also had Ian Hodgkiss, Tony Cooke, Wayne Standish & Alex Cain supporting - and great to have Martin Ridyard pop along too.

We fell 15 runs short, but it was great fun and hopefully will repeat it again next year.

Tony Cottrells catch was top shelf, round his ankles and the ball got to him pretty quick............................I'll bet TC has never dropped a penny and it's actually hit the floor. His reaction time is still rapid.

I had to face Ste Cawleys bowling in the 'Leigh Pub League, around 5 years ago, quickest bowling I ever faced...scary, though my highest ever score for the BOARS HEAD was only 7 !!!!

Ste Cawley is average that's all. I know. He is my son in law.
