| Sounds like he had a stormer last week. Seems like common sense to bring him back and put Liam Kay at half back if needed

Despite myself also being of the opinion that the team would be more effective with Kay at halfback and Brown back, in reality who are we to argue with young Rowley given his record?

| When you think about what Rowls said at the Lisa meeting about Kay being a broken play type player it's obvious halfback is a position that does,nt suit that type of player Kay's been outstanding all season on the wing and it would be madness to move him out of that position .Regarding Brown I've been saying all season a player with his pedigree should be in the first team he's a exciting player who can score from anywhere some folk say he struggle with his defence in those early games rubbish he was left wide open on his own and in those early games he played the team scored over 50 points I seem to remember.......If we are to win the league and GF we need a player of Browns pedigree ...

| If brown shows the right attitude and can defend then he has every chance of coming back in the team.
Both points sadly lacking in Feb/March.

Brown was taken off at Barrow, after missing a tackle and then seeing a superbly judged kick lobbed over his head for a Barrow try. (a tactic that was repeated on Kay, after Brown had gone off.) Now, how many tries have we conceded like that, this season, when others have been on the wing?
(Not knocking any of our wingers, by the way - it's a very difficult tactic to defend, especially when executed well)

| If Brown is playing well and doing well then get him back, we need all the players for the final push of top 2 and an attempt on some silverware from the Play offs.

| Alan makes a very good point.
Can't help but think there is an added complication here that we don't know about and probably don't need to know about. Surely you don't sign a guy with pace to burn and great expectation on a 2 year deal and abandon him after a couple of errors in one game without there is more to it.
Unlike other coaches and to his great credit PR doesn't air the club washing in public - I think we have to trust his judgement.

Infuriating, isn't it? How can we fans be expected to pick a better team than the coach, without having all the relevant facts at our disposal? The coaching team have an unfair advantage!

Have to agree but I still assume that nobody posting on here has ever made a team selection error - I certainly haven't.
In addition - speaking personally of course - I have never ever 'knocked on' whilst sitting in the stand.

| Not quite sure where Brown would fit in though, Kay is playing brilliantly, possibly player of the season so far, and I don't think Pownall has done anything to be dropped, playing fairly well. Still sounds like he's improved at Batley & as Rowley says he's next in line to have another go.
