Would be nice to think the RFL would revamp the CC and make it so games are attractive and achievable all the way through.
For me this next round should have been all the Championship 1 clubs plus the Championship clubs that finished out of the Top 8 last season joining the remaining amateur clubs.
The round after that would be the winners of those games plus the Top 8 Championship clubs and the clubs who finished out of the Top 8 of SL last season so we have a chance of some evenly contested games that might attract fans thus clubs can still make money out the comp.

Potentially a good idea. I think the biggest problem with attendances for the Challenge Cup early rounds is that all the games are crammed together as something to be gotten out of the way. Should be one Challenge Cup game per month leading up to the final, make it something special to be looked forward to.
Still Patts away will be good day out, should be a good laugh, best draw for both clubs in terms of interest probably. |

68-10 I think Keith, hat-trick Stu Donlan and over 2000 on at Hilton Park.I might be wrong here but didnt Colin Smith and Andy Fairclough play for Pats and then later sign for Leigh after that game.

For the third round of the major cup knock out in the sport, St Pats v Leigh is as attractive a fixture that you can get. Top amateur team from Wigan against the neighbouring semi-pro team. A fixture doesn't have to be evenly matched to be attractive to the local population. Turn up and watch it!!
