I am very disappointed with the new BOM. After all the hype about some new backs I had convinced myself that Sam Tomkins was going to be one of them only to find that they have let New Zealand Warriors take him.I am sure he would have preferred the Centurions if he had been given the chance

Although Tomkins has a clause in his contract to return to Wigan, after three years, I can reveal that he also has a clause in it to be released before then, if Leigh were to make him an offer. This suits the Leigh club who are, understandably, keen to see Tomkins prove himself at the highest level, before we commit to signing him.

The BOM didn't want to release this news just yet, as they are well aware of the high degree of sensitivity amongst fans, about any sort of link with Wigan.

So, in fact this has been a good move by the BOM!

Well fair do's to the lad. He loves a good haka. Don't we all ?

He is a great prospect but not quite ready for a Leyth shirt.

When he comes back he will not just be good for us he'll be good for our game in this country.

Our BOM knew that. Come back soon mate a warm welcome awaits.

I do believe that the BOM were poised to sign Sam, but decided not to go ahead as they didn't want WYSIWYG to have an excuse not to come next season......
