I'm not planning on recreating the leigh arms on the back of the coach, but is it ok to take a couple of cans on the club coach or not? don't want to have to leave any purchased tinnies behind if they aren't allowed!

Under normal circumstances I think you can. But as the coaches have been hired specifically to transport you to a sporting event then the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985 comes in to effect.

The secret is to make sure the driver doesn't see you taking alcohol on to the coach or see you drinking it once on board. However, if the coach is stopped by the police or VOSA enforcement officer and you are seen with alcohol you can still be charged under the above act. |

I think this is symptomatic of what is wrong with this country.
They will ban mooning on our coaches next.

What is wrong with the country is not being able to go without alcohol for a whole hour.....and if the coach driver spots it he won't go anywhere.....and it won't just be the coach driver who will be pi55ed with you.

Demon, when have i said i can't go an hour without alcohol?! i was asking the question if it is permitted. Come to think of it, i've done at least 48 hours since my last pint. It's a cup final, potentially few and far between, i want to be in a party atmosphere from the off if possible, and back myself to not act like a tit with it. I won't be spraying all and sundry with it, i wont be waving it out of the window...on the way there.

The legislation only applies to sporting events designated by the Secretary of State, namely big football games.
