DUE TO THE 1300 KO us cappers were wondering if you guys could direct us to a wetherspoons -type boozer in town preferably somewhere to park coaches safely too ...cheers!

Wetherspoon's is a 20 minute walk from the LSV. You're best bet is to be dropped off in the town centre and have your coach park up at the stadium.

There is the whistling wren that has been built since your last visit to the LSV next to the ground that serves food although I've been told it's not as cheap as the wheatherspoons

The Wren does 2 meals for £10 . not sure about week-ends though , the food is pretty good though .

It is only a 10 minute walk to Leigh Bus Station from the LSV.

There are 2 real ale pubs there and the beer is less than £2 a pint.

Have a safe journey .

if you do call into the Whistling wren ,just in case any of you fancy the Hearty Steak n Ale Pie , bring along a hammer and chisel for the crust

I went in the Park Inn for the Worky game and they`d suspended their ` matchday offers` on Stella and food, no wonder it was empty.
For the Batley game I went to the Centurion and it was far better. A pint of Coors light and a free bowl of Lobby.

I wouldn't use the Wren for food on a match day, it could get to halftime before you get it.
