Wonder if supporters of licenscing would explain to us why so many licensced clubs are now in financial trouble since its' introduction.

Weren't we told by the RFL' when it was brought in that it would improve the game ?

Seems to me that in terms of stability it has had the opposite effect.

Why don't they scap it and reintroduce promotion and relegation ? After all that is what the vast majority of fans of ALL clubs want.

How is licensing to blame for the contracts gas give to their players.

Sky money is bigger than ever its the clubs that are to blame.

Rugby union is propped up by rich benefactors that are keeping their clubs afloat.

Wasps don't have a benefactor and they where 5 mins from going bankrupt and that was with relegation.

Previously Bristol went bust whilst in the top flight.

It's simple clubs from both codes pay money to players that they can't always secure

I did not say it was licenscing that caused clubs to players more than a club could afford.

I said licenscing was introduced to make the game more sustainable and it has not done that.

My point is that licenscing has not achieved the reason it was introduced for and therefore should be scrapped.

Brad & Cas shouldn't have these problems so soon after been given a license. I think the RFL didn't fully check the true financial state of the clubs who have been graded and given a license.

All boils down to paying players too much to sign/keep them...........pay them what you can afford to stop financial disaster - if the players want more than you can afford then its thank you but you will have to find a deal elsewhere........simple.

Nonsense. So does that mean if they can't afford a successful team, even though we have a salary cap,that a championship side could be in a healthy position financially and fill other criteria that's required, be denied a place in superleague for three years. Now let us

What does what I said have owt to do with a Championship club or P&R............it states that you should only spend what you can afford and not pay big money that you cant afford to get success.

The problem isn't purely franchising, its the system we employ and the exclusiveness of that system.

There 3 teams in the championship who want to progress and one who deserves to, the rest are not impacted by no p&r yet but should have a clear pathway should they be eg Barrow/Doncaster.

Look at Cas gates when winning promotion, look at that years GF crowd at Leeds. Tell me Cas fans dont want a winning/competitive team.

Two tens in a franchised structure is where we need to be now, building to two twelves as and when clubs are ready.
